At IBM, work is more than a job - it's a calling: To build. To design. To code. To consult. To think along with clients and sell. To make markets. To invent. To collaborate. Not just to do something better, but to attempt things you've never thought possible. Are you ready to lead in this new era of technology and solve some of the world's most challenging problems? If so, lets talk.

Your Role and Responsibilities

In an increasingly interconnected world, data breaches grab headlines. The security of sensitive information is vital, requirements and regulatory bodies such as the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS), Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and the latest GDPR directive create challenges for enterprises and institutions that use encryption to protect their transaction flow, sensitive information and general fencing of production environments.

The IBM Crypto Competency Center (CCC) located in the Copenhagen area (Holte) is looking for an experienced candidate to take on an exciting challenge and help us to further develop our cryptographic applications to serve clients with long lasting and well proven solutions. The aim is also for the right candidate to become the Software Development Manager leading our geographically distributed development team.

The IBM CCC has a strong position with customers and a reputation within the cryptographic community for delivering excellent functionality of high quality. The team is engaging and working with clients worldwide through several IBM business channels but mainly with the sales teams in IBM Systems (IBM Z) and IBM Security. The current client set is to 90% within the Finance sector but recently there has been an increased interest from e.g. the Automotive industry. The need to encrypt data at rest, in transfer and in use is ever increasing and is now expanding into other industry sectors as well.

To meet the demand we need to expand the team with an experienced application developer to work with our EKMF work station application running on Linux. As an experienced Application Developer you will work closely with the solutions architecture team to detail the solutions and to ensure that the application is developed in a future proof manner with a high degree of reusable components and a balanced mix between own development and use of open source under the IBM open source rules.

The distributed development team has also adopted an Agile development methodology.
