Our client is currently seeking a Senior Analytics Engineer for a 6 month contract opportunity located in San Francisco, CA.

Qualifications:

Senior Analytics Engineer / R Developer

Tools:

  • R, Python, Spark, Hadoop, SAS, SQL (SQL Server, Teradata)

Modeling concepts:

  • Machine Learning, Time series analysis, Clustering, Generalized Linear and Additive Models, Nonlinear Regression, Classification, Neural Networks, Decision trees, Text mining, OCR Utility or regulated industry experience (preferred)

Responsibilities:

  • The Senior Analytics Engineer will work with the Regulatory Affairs department to deliver analytical models to support rate case filings.
  • The analytics engineer must have experience with statistical analysis and modeling projects.
  • The analytics engineer must be comfortable interacting and communicating with both Business and IT project team members.
  • The analytics engineer must have expertise in mathematics and applied statistics with programming skills to create predictive models and tools on large scale data sets (in tens of TB) and operationalize the models on Big data clusters on AWS.
