Senior Analyst, Business Transformation Services

Job Summary

Responsible for serving as a results-oriented, business analyst to the leadership of a strategy or business unit to help ensure achievement of the company’s strategies. Responsible for summarizing research data and operations information that will assist management in both long- and short-rang strategic planning. Works to support business analysis and recommendations that helps the business achieve operational effectiveness and efficiency on transformation initiatives. Supports cross-functional strategic initiatives and provides analysis support on industry best practices related to business transformation in Retail, Pharmacy or Business infrastructure related fields. Supports the facilitation of the designs and assessment of work efforts to ensure alignment to business and customer objectives. Responsible for organization of meeting coordination, stakeholder involvement in workshops, meeting action items and follow-ups.

Job Responsibilities
  • Maintains a strong working relationship and understanding of business operations interfaces throughout Walgreens to support project business needs, business problems, and issue related to Walgreens strategies.
  • Plans, designs and deploys appropriate reports and tools to support the strategic execution of programs and projects related to business strategies.
  • Understands and gathers information for some or all of the following: Walgreen stores, retail environment, WIRS, Central Specialty, pharmacy and competitors in order to provide analysis and insights as input in business transformation workshops, portfolio management and prioritization and program execution.
  • Analyzes corresponding data to effectively recommend procedure changes, process enhancements, business requirements or cross-business opportunities with costs and/or return on investment summarized. Analyzes data in order to identify trends through the review of historical, qualitative and quantitative data and develops recommended Changes.
  • Develops and supports methods, processes, and reports to actively manage the program delivery within the business transformation portfolio. Analyzes data in order to effectively identify program performance variances and recommends potential courses of action to address such variances.
  • Monitors external market data and be able to report market trends
  • Works with business leaders to research and identify key targets as they relate work within the business transformation teams.
  • Assists in the development of Powerpoint presentations and training materials

Basic Qualifications
Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and at least 1 year experience in business analysis or in a store operations function OR a High School Diploma/GED and at least 4 years of experience in business analysis or in a store operations function.
  • Experience analyzing and reporting data in order to identify issues, trends, or exceptions to drive improvement of results and find solutions.
  • Experience identifying operational issues and recommending and implementing strategies to resolve problems.
  • Experience developing ways of accomplishing goals with little or no supervision, depending on oneself to complete objectives and determining when escalation of issues is necessary.
  • Experience with MS Office Suite.
  • Experience in planning and supporting the facilitation of large cross-functional workshops.
  • Willing to travel up to 10% of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state).

Preferred Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience of 1-2 years of business consulting in the retail or pharmacy industry.
  • Experience using time management skills such as prioritizing/organizing and tracking details and meeting deadlines of multiple projects with varying completion dates.
