The Defense group supports the Department of Defense (DoD) mission to keep our homeland and its citizens safe. We provide solutions to improve the Nation's defense by providing software, systems engineering, IT, training and logistics and fleet management solutions.

Responsibilities

Develop a training information system for a DOD client. Training system will provide a common operational picture of the training environment in 5 integrated capability areas: Training Development, Training Management, Training Enterprise Scheduling, Learning Content Management, and Training Resource Management. These capabilities will enable the DOD client in planning and preparing for operational, institutional and self-development training.

  • Assist the ISSO to monitor, analyze, and detect Cyber events and incidents within information systems and networks for the DoD customer.
  • Assist with integrated, dynamic Cyber-defense, coordinate and maintain security toolsets to support organizations continuous monitoring and ongoing authorization programs
  • establish a framework by which cyber risk can be measured and quantified in the marketplace.
  • Determines security requirements by evaluating business strategies and requirements; researching information security standards; conducting system security and vulnerability analyses and risk assessments;

studying architecture/platform; identifying integration issues; preparing cost estimates.

  • Implements security systems by specifying intrusion detection methodologies and equipment; directing equipment and software installation and calibration; preparing preventive and reactive measures; creating, transmitting, and maintaining keys; providing technical support; completing documentation.
  • Verifies security systems by developing and implementing test scripts.
  • Maintains security by monitoring and ensuring compliance to standards, policies, and procedures; conducting incident response analyses; developing and conducting training programs.
  • Responsible for the design, development, implementation, and integration of a DoD IA architectures, systems, or system components for use within computing, network, and enclave environments.
  • Ensure that the architecture and design of development and operational systems are functional and secure. This include designs for program of record systems and special purpose processing nodes with platform IT interconnectivity.
  • Reponsible for documentation required for RMF process

Qualifications

- US citizen

- Secret clearance or ability to hold a Secret clearance.

- BS 5-7 Years, MS 3-5, PhD 0-2 or equivalent training and experience

  • DoD 8570 IT2 baseline certification
  • Proven experience with the A&A mission in preparation for preliminary and actual assessments with current Risk Management Framework (RMF) NIST Controls and DoD standards.
  • Experience developing and updating A&A/RMF package and POAMs within Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS).
  • Experience analyzing business/user cybersecurity needs to elicit, formulate, document requirements and coordinating cybersecurity actions.
  • Experience managing and reporting on IAVMs, executing STIG SCC scans and addressing C5ISR CSSP reports and artifacts.
  • Trained and experienced with McAfee products included in DoD HBSS baseline.
  • Proven proficiency with at least two (2) operating systems: (Windows, iOS, Android, or Linux)
