JOB DESCRIPTION


Reporting into the global Securities Finance Program Management Office ("PMO"), the Project Manager will provide PMO support for critical programs for the core Securities Finance business units (Agency Lending, Alternative Financing Solutions and Enhanced Custody).


ROLE DESCRIPTION


The project manager will have some experience with project methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, RUP, etc). The project manager will assist the senior program manager with the following tasks and responsibilities:


PROJECT MANAGEMENT:


- Preparing for project meetings and coordinating teams and deliverables.


- Defining and managing the end-to-end project plan.


- Maintaining the risks / issues log, mitigation plans and escalation process. Identify cross team dependencies and mitigation plans.


- Status reporting.


- Change control process.


- Developing and reporting on key performance indicators.


- Release management planning and processes.


- Identifying areas of potential risk and exposure and provides viable solutions to reduce and/or eliminate risk to Securities Finance, State Street and its clients.


- Ensuring that all vendor resources and team members have completed the required trainings and other compliance requisites.


- Creating tickets for production releases.


PRODUCT ROADMAP / BACKLOG MANAGEMENT:


- Working with key global stakeholders to maintain program prioritization / demand inventory.


- Aligning global resource pools to demand / project prioritization (e.g. legal, compliance, tax, operations, technology, finance, risk, etc).


GOVERNANCE / COMMUNICATION:


- Coordinating / communicating release notes.


VENDOR MANAGEMENT:


- Managing the invoicing / billing / accruals process with the appropriate SF and corporate teams.


PROGRAM FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT:


- Working with team members to ensure resource forecasts are accurate and booked appropriately.


- Managing / validating intramonth Atrack (i.e., actual) project bookings.


- Monthly certification of program financials.


- Managing the project estimation lifecycle.


- Optimizing program spend.


OFFICES OF ACCOUNTABILITY OVERSIGHT:


- Creating and maintaining tollgate documentation.


- Managing the application risk process (i.e., ISRMP).


- Ensuring PM / PMO compliance with oversight functions (i.e., Risk, Compliance, Audit, Legal).


SF PMO TOOL MANAGEMENT:


- Creating and maintaining project Sharepoint Site in compliance with Offices of Accountability requirements (i.e., Risk, Compliance, Audit, Legal).


- Facilitating user adoption of PMO toolset


- Developing and maintaining Project SharePoint site content.


IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE


MUST HAVE:


- Minimum of a bachelor's degree with 2 - 5 years of experience or equivalent.


- Extremely organized and good at following up.


- Extremely detail and solution oriented.


- Excellent oral and written communication skills.


- Microsoft Office expertise, including Visio.


- Successful candidate should be enthusiastic, keen to learn the business and be part of a growing team.


DESIRABLE:


- Professional Project Management Qualifications e.g. PMP


- Some front, middle, back office core capital markets experience.


- Working knowledge of one or more of the following: securities lending, borrowing, prime brokerage, equity swaps. repo.


- Working knowledge of the key roles of each of the business partner teams: Trading, Client Service, Business Development, Operations, Legal, Compliance, Regulatory, Finance, ERM, Front Office Risk, Onboarding, Tax, Treasury and Technology.


- Experience building and managing SharePoint sites.


- Experience with MS Access and Visual Basic.
