Help Desk Technician I

The Help Desk Technician will work a mid shift with weekends and is responsible for providing daily support while monitoring the company's restaurant software, data and communications. This position requires direct and indirect support to users primarily though the phone but also includes face to face support.


  • Respond to requests for technical assistance in person, by phone and electronically.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical hardware and software issues.
  • Research questions using available resources following standard help desk procedures.
  • Provide troubleshooting of cash registers and kitchen video equipment.
  • Provide support for Menulink, Radiant Aloha, and Panasonic (POS).
  • Diagnose and correct register data corruptions and POS problems.
  • Identify, diagnose, and resolve Level Two computer problems for restaurant users.
  • Diagnose and resolve end-user network, e-mail, and web access problems.
  • Perform minor desktop hardware repair for PC computer equipment and peripherals.
  • Provide training to restaurant users and field personnel on software applications.
  • Install, configure and make operational computers and printers and other equipment on computer network.
  • Troubleshoot issue pertaining to restaurant equipment (time clocks, headsets, drive-thru timers, and order confirmation boards).
  • Provide restaurant data handling support for restaurants including monitoring sales data, recovery, and correction.


  • 2-4 years Help Desk and or field support experience.
  • Knowledge of the Spanish language is a plus.
  • Good technical problem solving skills with the ability to diagnose problems through telephone contact.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Windows XP/Vista/7.
  • Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communications skills.
  • Experience training others with the ability to exhibit a high degree of patience for inexperienced computer users.
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a multi-cultural team.
  • Highly analytical with the ability to evaluate situations and provide sound solutions.

Hours: Technician must be available to work a mid shift and weekends (i.e. Wednesday - Sunday or Thursday - Monday) with a potential for occasional overtime. The ability to work a flexible schedule is required.

10am-6pm, 11am-7pm
