Job Description

The Enterprise Information Technology (EIT) organization leads technology for one of the highest market cap financial services institutions in the world, helping 76.6 million customers conduct an average of 95 million transactions each day, helping more end-customers every day, both in the United States and internationally. EIT helps them as trusted business partners working with the business to develop and deliver value-added products and services. EIT manages world-wide technology for more than 8,700 stores and 12,500 ATMs. EIT collectively supports 2500 applications, 270,000 desktops/laptops, manages one of the largest and most resilient mainframe environments in the world and operates one of the largest telecommunication infrastructures.

There are 8 primary business groups that comprise the EIT organization: Community Banking Technology (CBT), Consumer Lending Technology (CLT), Corporate Technology (CT), Enterprise Technology Infrastructure (ETI), Enterprise Technology Operations (ETO), Enterprise Technology Services (ETS), Team Member Technology (TMT), Wealth and Investment Management Technology (WIMT). The newly organized PMO Center of Excellence (CoE) includes project management services teams, comprised of a dedicated/shared services model and a Process, Tools and Governance team (PTG). The summary of the Business Systems Consultant 6/Agile Coach role, within the PM Methods team, and as part of the Enterprise Agile Center of Excellence (Agile CoE) is as follows:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate and lead individual scrum teams in all aspects of scrum-daily meetings, planning, self-organization, collaboration & iterative development
  • Guide the team and organization on how to use Agile/Scrum practices and values
  • Drive teams toward continuous Agile maturity
  • Create, maintain, and promote consistent Agile practices across all teams within Wells Fargo in cooperation with Agile CoE
  • Perform Agile Maturity assessments for teams, provide coaching and input to reach higher levels of maturity, continuous improvement
  • Guide the team to remove impediments allowing the work to get done
  • Facilitate discussion, decision making, and conflict resolution
  • Assist with internal and external communication, improving transparency, and radiating information
  • Support and educate the Product Owner, especially with respect to grooming and maintaining the product backlog
  • Guide teams to iterative delivery while maintaining compliance with all Wells Fargo governing processes and rules
  • Provide all support to the team using a servant leadership style whenever possible, and leading by example
  • Participate in Agile CoE activities to promote Agile maturity across the organization
  • Support Agile CoE with Agile research, recommendations, and change management as needed
  • Remain current on all Agile standards and practices; socialize and promote changes among the Agile teams
  • Produce Agile metrics and reporting


Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of business systems analysis experience, business systems design experience, or a combination of both
  • 3 + years of experience as a scrum master
  • Agile Certification
  • 2+ years of SDLC (System Development Life Cycle) experience



Desired Qualifications

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to negotiate, influence, and collaborate to build successful relationships
  • Knowledge and understanding of project management methodologies: used in waterfall or Agile development projects
  • Ability to influence, partner, and negotiate with senior business leaders to gain commitment to accomplish business goals
  • Experience with large-scale process transformation initiatives
  • 3+ years of JIRA experience
  • Experience with one or more Agile tools used for tracking user stories or backlogs, such as VersionOne and Team Foundation Server (TFS)
  • Knowledge and understanding of Technology Project Methodology (TPM)



Other Desired Qualifications
  • Knowledge of Pega Scrum Tools (DCO/PMF/Agile Studio)
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum tools (JIRA, etc)
  • Experience working on an Enterprise scale/Multi LOB platform
  • Experience applying Scrum patterns and techniques such as: burn-down, retrospective formats, impediment resolution, sprint planning and backlog grooming
  • Consulting and facilitation skills in leading technical teams in the adoption and improvement of agile
  • Experience with multiple methodologies such as Agile, Waterfall, Dev Ops, Speed to Market
  • Knowledge and/or experience with Agile techniques such as: User Stories, ATDD, TDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Automated Testing, Pairing and the use of Agile Games


Job Expectations

  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
