Permanent position: Engineering & Construction client is looking for a Scheduler to join their team in Atlanta, GA. You need 5-15+ years of experience either in piping, vessel, or steel fabrication shop scheduling. *** Client prefers local candidates, but will provide a relocation package for the right candidate ***

Responsibilities for the Scheduler
  • Responsible for preparing and updating resource loaded fabrication shop schedules
  • You will be expected to generate & monitor the master shop schedule and integrate all shop associated activities with the activities in the project EPC schedules
  • You will perform mainly scheduling duties, but you will have some cost engineering duties mixed in
  • You will work closely with Field Schedulers, Cost Controller, Engineers, Expeditors, PE's, PM's, Shop Planner, and Shop Managers to produce a master schedule that optimizes and prioritizes all shop work
  • The Shop Master Schedule will be resource loaded to include all shop working manpower (direct, temporary, contract and outsourced) and you will be expected to analyze and report shop progress and shop manpower requirements
  • Update and evaluate the accuracy of the shop cost forecast by working with the EPC Controllers assessing actual cost incurred and physical progress achieved for all phases of shop work
  • Consolidate data in the schedule and in project cost reports for Project Manager's review and approval
  • Procude short range and long range fabrication shop schedules as well as forecast labor resources required to meet workload
  • Work with EPC Controllers to update, on a regular basis, shop cash flow forecastsRequirements for the Scheduler

    • 5-15+ years of specific experience as a Shop Scheduler in a fabrication shop environment.
    • You need to have some experience (intermediate level) scheduling using Primavera P6
    • The ideal candidate has experience scheduling activities in a manufacturing, fabrication or assembly plant
    • If you do not have experience as a Scheduler in a Fabrication Shop environment, then you must have experience as a Scheduler supporting construction schedules on heavy industrial construction projects
    • BS degree in Construction, Engineering or similar area is a PLUS
    • Any experience with or general understanding of fabrication of Vessels, Heat Exchangers, Piping, Steel, and Modular assembly of industrial plants would be a PLUSBenefits
