Introduction
As anIBM Application Architect, you directlyhelp clients transformtheir businessandsolve complex problems. You will define the scope and vision for projects that deliver customized solutions using your knowledge of IBM platforms. You are a technical leader, serving as a liaison among business partners, technical resources, and project stakeholders.

Your Role and Responsibilities
The IBM SAP Practice is seeking candidates with experience in implementing SAP Integrations using SAP PI/PO. You will possess experience in integrating one or more integration styles such as Process Integration, Data Integration and/or Machine Integration. In addition, you will have knowledge in integrating SAP with Non SAP Applications - On-premise, Cloud or Hybrid Landscape Environment. The candidate will have knowledge in Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), Cloud Integration/Data Platform as a service, Business to Business (B2B) and/or Electric Data Interchange (EDI) integration. You will also have knowledge in Error Handling and monitoring and have experience in working industry standards such as Extensive Markup Language (XML), Simple Object Access Protocol (SOAP), Javascript Object Notation (JSON), Secure File Transfer Protocol (SFTP), Open Data Protocol (OData) and EDI.

Responsibilities for the position include:
  • Business process analysis and redesign and implementation, providing business analysis skills, and process mapping.
  • Assessment of business and application requirements
  • Driving the development of functional and system specifications
  • Work close with and support clients PI/PO architect
  • Conducting fit/gap analysis and business process modelling
  • Configuring the software to business requirements
  • Developing and executing tests to confirm the functionality
  • Actively performing knowledge transfer to clients
  • Communicating in a team environment with clients and colleagues
  • Providing support for deployment and sustainment as necessary


Required Professional and Technical Expertise
  • Minimum 8 years SAP PI/PO experience - ideally 2-3 years in an architect role
  • Configuration skills in SAP ECC
  • Experience designing and configuring the key integration points between SAP and non-SAP applications
  • Strong SAP PI/PO programming skills with minimum 8 years of experience in A2A and B2B integrations.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience with SAP Process Orchestration B2B add-on associated utilities ats/ protocols such as X12, XML, AS2, SFTP, OFTP.
  • Experience with S/4 HANA
  • Design and Development experience in EDI interfaces in SAP PO.
  • Create, configure, test, deploy and maintain interfaces for EDI Scenarios for Inbound and Outbound Processing with respect to SAP IDOC, with EDI format such as ANSI X12, EDIFACT.
  • Good understanding of Java code
  • Expertise in writing UDF to implement the complex logics.
  • Experience in exposing and consuming SOAP and REST based web services.
  • Develop PI/ PO interfaces focused on development standards, naming conventions and industry best practices.


Preferred Professional and Technical Expertise
  • Working knowledge of SAP interfaces using different Adapters (HTTP/SOAP/JMS/File/IDoc/ABAP Proxy) and EDI.
  • Good experience in middleware migration projects.
  • Interfacing with SAP third party systems i.e. Prometheus, Primavera and a knowledge of IDOCS
  • Knowledge of and experience with FIORI and its application to SAP Plant Maintenance
  • Knowledge of the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) Multi-Resource Scheduling (MRS) or SAP PM Management of Change (MoC) would be an asset
  • Experience and knowledge of consulting practices and techniques
  • A comprehensive understanding of Source to Pay business processes.

  • Effective coaching and knowledge transfer skills the ability to thrive in a team environment
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
