The Salesforce Database Administrator is responsible for the overall operational health of YWCA’s Salesforce platform, including developing and maintaining data entry processes, providing technical direction on platform configuration and maintenance, troubleshooting and resolving production issues, and leading root cause analyses to both identify and implement long-term solutions. This position will report to the Associate Director of Development Operations and will often partner with all members of Development staff (including the Chief Philanthropy Officer, Portfolio Relationship Managers, the Prospect Researcher, and the Donor Services team) as well as Accounting Services (including the Chief Financial Officer, Controller, and Accounting Services staff) to prototype and deliver application solutions with an eye towards value, quality, data integrity, information security and end-user experience. In order to ensure the Salesforce CRM meets Agency needs related to data accuracy, reportability, and the ability to analyze the impact of fundraising tactics and discover trends, the Salesforce Database Administrator will develop and maintain the Development Divisions’ best practices for Salesforce data entry, data maintenance, support ticket processes, and workflow processes.

Requirements

Qualifications & Core Competencies:

  • Salesforce Administrator certification (Platform App Builder and/or Advanced Administrator certifications preferred)
  • Familiarity working with nonprofit organizations
  • A strong understanding of Salesforce (4+ years of experience preferred)
  • Experience deploying configuration using change sets between a sandbox and a production Salesforce org
  • Demonstrated understanding of AppExchange apps, including configuration and customization
  • Familiarity with Campaign Monitor, Apsona, online donation and event management apps preferred
  • Proven track record of continuously improving organizations
  • Strong time management & communication skills
  • Strong analytic and problem-solving skills
  • Intellectual curiosity
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to juggle a number of projects at once.
  • Excellent relationship-building, consensus-building and interpersonal communication skills required, including the ability to communicate with multiple levels of the organization and with non-technical partners to derive technical requirements and priorities
  • Experience working with communities of color and people from different cultures than your own
  • Demonstrated understanding of the intersection of racism and poverty
  • Demonstrated commitment to anti-racist principles
