Salesforce Architect/Director

Our client in central New Jersey has a permanent opening for an experienced Salesforce Manager. Candidate will be responsible for Trust Application Delivery department, within the Technology organization. Application Delivery is responsible for integrating, delivering, maintaining and supporting all applications used by our enterprise environment.


  • Support and help to maximize adoption and realized business value of Salesforce

  • Assist our staff transition to modern development processes and tools, including Design Thinking, Agile methodology, Jira and native development on the cloud (PaaS)

Other Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of developers, including work assignment, mentoring, performance reviews, compensation and career progression
  • Partner with Marketing on Salesforce Marketing Cloud and the mailings process
  • Work with Client Advisory Relationship Manager and Business Partners to prioritize backlog of initiatives and enhancement requests
  • Plan and oversee approved initiatives and allocate resources
  • Coordinate with Business Analysis and Quality Assurance groups to align resources
  • Manage budget
  • Negotiate vendor contracts and work with Legal through the review process
  • Work with Information Security and Legal on vendor risk management
  • Lead Design Thinking sessions to define value models
  • Manage backlogs and sprints utilizing Jira and agile methodology
  • Provide project status to senior management
  • Manage vendor relationships
  • Review timesheets
  • Facilitate large meetings and brainstorming sessions
  • Develop a deep understanding of business processes as well as expertise of our systems, workflows, data structure and culture
  • Ensure developers and applications comply with our best practices, policies and procedures
  • Participate in and support internal audit and regulatory reviews


  • BA / BS required - Business / Finance / Economics / Computer Science preferred
  • 5 years or more managing Salesforce. Success with adoption and delivering business value to users.
  • 7-10 years or more of financial services system-related experience. Experience at a private wealth management company or family office is preferred.
  • Acknowledged depth and breadth of technical knowledge and expertise with Salesforce and Marketing Cloud
  • Salesforce Certified Administrator preferred. Additional Salesforce certifications a plus.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills. Able to develop effective working relationships. Proven ability to influence professionals at all levels and to lead teams across functions.
  • Superior cross-organizational program management skills. Strong project management skills resulting in projects that are delivered on time and on budget.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple assignments in a fast-paced and competitive environment
  • Exceptional communication skills, including the ability to convey complex ideas clearly and concisely
  • Unquestionable integrity and personal credibility
  • Effective problem diagnosis and solution aptitude
  • Established track record of building collaborative relationships
