Your Role and Responsibilities
Job Responsibility:
  • Responsible for identifying, building and closing sales of IBM GTS Infrastructure Services Offerings
  • As a Infrastructure Services (IS) Sales Specialist, you will be working for IBM Services. Infrastructure Services delivers a portfolio of cloud, project-based, outsourcing and other managed services. The portfolio includes hybrid cloud services and solutions to assist clients in building and running enterprise IT environments that utilize public and private clouds and traditional IT, built around a key set of solutions addressing systems, mobility, resiliency, network, and security.
Primary Job Role:
  • Own a specific set of territories and accounts
  • Develop an account strategy
  • Build financial propositions around selling
  • Create a robust sales lead pipeline
  • Maintaining competitor and market knowledge; keeping an eye out for gaps in the market and opportunities for growth
  • Act as a trusted solution advisor to our clients
  • Prepare point of view, sow/pricing and lead engagement towards proposal sales closure

  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Ability to make timely, practical, and cost-effective decisions
  • Takes initiative
  • Has the combined skills of a hunter and a farmer
Experience Expected:
  • Minimum of 8+ years in Sales; in particular Solutions and Infrastructure Sales with track records on infrastructure bundled solution especially with digital transformation, hybrid cloud, networking, digital workplace, systems resiliency.
  • Worked in a large complex environment with good track records of closing >$5M transactions
  • Strong knowledge with selling to at least one industry segment or several large accounts on infrastructure solutions & programs
Required Technical and Professional Expertise:
  • Strong knowledge with cloud related solutions especially on solution offerings from AWS, Azure and infrastructure cloud providers.
  • Strong knowledge with popular brands (e.g. Cisco, Juniper, HP, Lenovo, VMware, Redhat, Checkpoint, etc)
  • Education: Bachelor Degree in IT or Business



Required Professional and Technical Expertise
