Who you are:
  • Individuals in this role will be responsible for creating and executing compelling, original content for communications to key seller audiences.
  • The right candidate must have the ability to strategize and develop communications content that is engaging across multiple media email, blog, community, IBM internal social media, etc.
What you'll do:
  • We are seeking a self starter to join the GMC-based GTS sales enablement team. . Measuring the impact to the business and the effectiveness of the communications activities is another key role for this professional.
  • This role will take guidance from WW Sales Enablement Leader
  • Key responsibilities will include but not limited to:
  • Define, manage and drive communications strategy and process to reach sellers
  • Write and publish communications to defined seller audiences regarding news, announcements, assets, resources, events and topics of interest
  • Interlock with cross-functional teams at global and geography levels to drive broad promotion
  • Select and drive social and traditional communications activities (e.g. ecards, online community, blogs, forums, mobile app, etc)
  • Lead GTS input into annual cross-IBM seller survey. Includes question input, survey findings summary presentation to GTS team and driving action plan

Required Professional and Technical Expertise
  • Bachelor's degree (Journalism, Communications or Interactive Marketing preferred)
  • Marketing and professional writing experience
  • Very good communication skill
  • Strong editing, proofreading and interpersonal skills
  • Detail-orientated, with high standards for brand, messaging, quality and consistency of content
  • Strategic, creative thinker with critical analysis and problem-solving skills, along with flexibility and adaptability
  • Teaming able to work effectively in a matrix environment


Preferred Professional and Technical Expertise
3-5 years experience marketing and professional writing experience
Experience with social media (e.g. IBM Connections)
Marketing experience in IT industry
