The Service Asset and Configuration Management (SACM) group has an exciting opportunity for a senior level Process Engineer 3 in our SACM Governance team. This role is responsible for organizing, leading and facilitating process development activities, within a governance-based program to ensure that processes are robust, repeatable and sustainable, within the Service Asset and Configuration (SACM) environment. This role facilitates and leads the development of new processes and improvements to existing processes, which are complex in nature, by focusing on efficiencies, risks and controls.

  • Completes the necessary process models and documentation to enable agreement from the stakeholders on the process and enable ongoing sustainability of the process.
  • Initiates and leads efforts to develop innovative solutions to unique and/or complex business challenges. Solutions typically require coordination across the business as well as some coordination with other businesses, including multiple systems, or systems not directly controlled by the business
  • Conducts analysis to determine underlying cause and determine acceptable solutions for resolution to address complex business issues.
  • Works independently and with user groups to resolve questions, assess user needs, and recommends changes to business processes
  • Focus on the identification of risks, controls and efforts to remediate gaps as part of process development and maintenance
  • Educates others about process strategy and approach for how processes will be developed and maintained
  • Provides guidance and direction of business partners while developing our business partners processes and provides coaching, mentoring to fellow team members on process quality and techniques
  • Provides consultation on the use of re-engineering techniques to improve process performance and product quality
  • Drives business awareness of quality/process methodology
  • Develops metrics that provide data for process management indicators for future improvement opportunities
  • Acts as an internal consultant and is a single point of contact to provide monitoring, guidance, direction and clarification relating to SACM Governance to all levels of management
  • May provide guidance and direction to less experienced staff

Required Qualifications

  • 6+ years of process definition and documentation experience
  • 6+ years of process design or improvement experience
  • 5+ years of relationship management experience with business and technology partners
  • 10+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: process engineering, military (supply chain, analytics and/or engineering); or LEAN/Six Sigma Black belt and 7+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: process engineering, military (supply chain, analytics or engineering)

  • Ability to influence, partner, and negotiate with senior business leaders to gain commitment to accomplish business goals
  • Design consultation experience at the highest technical level: planning, integration, implementation, scalability, and problem definition
  • 2 + years of experience developing or supporting IT Service Management solutions (e.g. Incident Management, Change Management, Asset Management and Configuration Management)
  • 2+ years of experience with Remedy or equivalent asset management system
  • BS/BA degree or higher in a quantitative field such as mathematics, statistics, actuarial science, engineering, or physics
  • Change Management skills such as Prosci/ADKAR
  • Knowledge and understanding of Rapid Process Automation software such as Blue Prism
  • Knowledge and understanding of Business Process Management Notation (BPMN) software such as iGrafx
  • Knowledge and understanding of Statistical Analysis software such as Minitab
  • Facilitation skills such as Helix

Other Desired Qualifications
  • Demonstrated ability to cope well with change in a dynamic environment and deal effectively with ambiguity
  • Proven ability in exercising independent judgment and apply prudent risk mitigation principles
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions and solve problems in a timely manner
  • Experience with various process methodologies, Six Sigma, ITSM, Lean, CMMI, COBIT, etc.
  • Experience with IT Asset Management and/or Configuration Management processes

Job Expectations

  • WF Enterprise Process Engineering Advanced learning level or LEAN/Six Sigma Black belt must be documented as completed within 1 year of job start date
