IT Service Asset and Configuration Management (SACM) Governance
SACM ensures that reliable, accurate configuration, relationship and controlled information on IT assets required to deliver services in a timely and accessible model. SACM Governance maintains and monitors all SCM policies, standards and procedures against operational and regulatory policies, standards, and mandates. Performance is monitored against key metrics, KPIs and KRIs driving a culture of continuous improvement through governed initiative instantiation and realization tracking. This accountability ensures operationally safe and sound practices to protect Wells Fargos technology environment and ultimately the businesses reputational brand.

Performance Excellence - Business Initiatives Manager

Performance Excellence is part of the SACM Governance organization and is focused on monitoring, identifying and prioritizing opportunities against key performance and risk metrics in an effort drive continuous improvement to increase safety, soundness and performance improvement. This position will report to the Performance Excellence manager and be accountable to drive and effectively oversee cross-functional SACM initiatives. Identification and prioritization of initiatives as well as managing the results through matrix relationships is critical to success. Fundamental partners include but are not limited to teams across the SACM Governance organization, IT Asset Management, Configuration Management, and Vulnerability Operations in addition to additional partners across EIT.

  • Manage the intake, identification, prioritization and negotiation of cross-function SACM improvement initiatives ensuring transparency, implementation, delivery and validation.
  • Escalate and negotiate issues and risks, as needed such as coordination and execution of meetings and working sessions to quickly resolve conflicts across initiatives for clear prioritization focus on results and expected outcomes and timelines
  • Maintain the SACM Strategic Roadmap to ensure progress and alignment of initiatives to SACM processes and capabilities.
  • Oversight of SACM portfolio initiatives including the creation of and structuring of business cases for proposed initiatives.
  • Ensure initiatives are risk, compliance and improvement driven while being in alignment with EIT and SACM strategies
  • Confirm outcomes align to the SACM target operating model and roadmap including metrics to validate previous decisions
  • Establish strong relationships with SACM leadership, initiative leaders, PMO and other internal partners to ensure initiatives aligned with SACM, EIT and technology strategies.

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: project management, implementation, or strategic planning
  • 3+ years of leadership experience
  • 10+ years of information technology experience

Desired Qualifications

  • Virtual leadership experience with ability to effectively drive results, provide feedback/direction, and manage and build relationships with leaders and team members in a geographically dispersed team environment
  • Ability to influence and build relationships with LOB stakeholders, technology CIO leadership, external service providers, and architecture teams
  • Strategic planning experience in translating leadership vision into executable strategies and initiatives
  • Ability to quickly establish credibility to build and maintain effective working relationships
  • Ability to facilitate team meetings or present information to an audience
  • Ability to turn preliminary or ambiguous information, ideas, or problems into well-defined plans and solutions
  • Advanced Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, LiveMeeting and SharePoint) skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively, in both written and verbal formats, with senior executive-level leaders

Other Desired Qualifications
  • Familiarity with ITIL processes, models and standards or relevant ITIL certifications
  • Service Asset Management, Configuration Management and Vulnerability Management operational process knowledge
  • Broad knowledge of the IT function and how IT enables the business through effective strategic planning, governance and management discipline
  • Strong engagement management and delivery skills (i.e. ability to scope/size a project, resourcing recommendations, provide subject matter direction and guidance to a dotted lined team, oversee the delivery of an engagement work stream)
  • Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment
  • Must have skills to coordinate and provide oversight for initiatives through completion including status updates, issue identification and tracking and packaging for delivery (i.e. report, presentation, etc.)
  • Ability to command credibility and influence outcomes at all levels of the organization through proven written and oral communications skills.
  • Strong analytical and interpersonal skills professionally communicating issues and suggestions to senior management, technology management, business management and third parties
  • A BS/BA degree or comparable experience

Job Expectations

  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
