Permanent position: Houston based Oil & Gas operator is looking for a Sr. Reservoir Engineering Advisor with experience in unconventional reservoirs.

Responsibilities for the Reservoir Engineer

  • Materially advance reservoir engineering technologies, methods, and workflows for Permian unconventional resources
  • Provide technical assurance for various unconventional reservoir engineering analyses being performed within the company
  • Support, and serve as management advisor on, critical business decisions
  • Within areas of responsibility, develop technical Type Curves aligned with the broader subsurface workflows

Requirements for the Reservoir Engineer

  • Must have BS in Petroleum Engineering
  • Must have 15+ year's experience in the oil & gas industry and 10+ year's experience with unconventional reservoirs
  • Has a theoretical and practical knowledge of (1) the integrated subsurface characterization and engineering workflows required to accurately access and predict the performance of horizontal wells in unconventional reservoirs, (2) reservoir surveillance processes, (3) technology evaluation and assessment
  • Must have deep understanding of rock and fluid properties in unconventional reservoirs
  • Strong technical and business acumen with understanding of the factors driving performance of wells drilled in unconventional reservoirs
  • Experience working with IHS Harmony and proficient in RTA
