Relationship Control Consultant

London, England W1A 2LQ
  • Job Code
    22676BR-1

Wells Fargo provides middle market, large corporate and financial institution customers with a range of international solutions, including treasury management, credit, payments, financing, foreign exchange, and trade services. Wells Fargo operates from 42 countries and territories outside of the U.S., including branches in Ireland, Beijing, Cayman Islands, Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), Hong Kong, London and Seoul.

The Relationship Control Consultant (RCC) position is a newly-defined risk management role for Corporate Banking (CBG). As a member of the Relationship Coverage Teams that exist in the Sub-LOBs to meet the demands and duties of managing large complex corporate relationships, RCCs will provide expertise and service-oriented support across a variety of risk management disciplines, especially BSA/AML. In addition to transactional support, the RCC will also play a control role acting as a point of accountability within the Sub-LOB as a risk-focused team member with subject matter expertise. While this does not relieve the other Relationship Coverage Team members of their own risk responsibilities, it does provide the benefit of a qualified specialist to interpret requirements, inform and engage the broader team, and ensure complete and accurate application of Wells Fargos risk standards. RCCs will have a direct reporting line to the Divisional Relationship Support Manager.

Guidance
All RCCs will be required to perform certain core tasks in CBGs go-forward target operating model for management of BSA/AML risks. There may be, however, more expansive and senior versions of the role, where duty and expertise goes beyond the core and basic control responsibilities. To ensure effective support and control roles, and to create consistent stature and opportunity for these RCC roles, the various RCC role options will be limited and clearly defined across CBG. The version and number of RCCs will depend on team member experience and Sub-LOB need.

Each RCC is envisioned to have an Area of responsibility. Area is used throughout the worksheet and is meant to represent the LOB team or group of team members that this person supports (e.g. Healthcare overall, or a specific Energy Group sub-segment, etc.) and the customer portfolio and prospects associated with that LOB team and market segment. It is important that Relationship Coverage Teams have a dedicated RCC to build a working relationship, customer and segment experience, and to avoid confusion.
