1. Manual testing. Someone who can do automation would be ideal. 6 month contract. Someone who can come in and deliver in a manual fashion would be best.


2. Jira/Confluence- As a user and ideally as an administrator.


3. Having used ZEPHYR, QA Symphony/QTEST, TEstlio or equivalent tools.


4. At a minimum is 2 years, but would like higher level. Little training as possible.


5. Testing experience is critical. To put some formulaization around the test effort.


The QA Engineer is part of a small team that manages the full Atlassian application suite; with a primarily focus on Jira and Confluence. We provide solution design and configuration to meet customers' business needs, including architectural work, application engineering, application support, and deployment. We are looking for someone who has experience as a QA Engineer for Jira and Confluence instances in a managed hosting environment, understands the features sets of the products, and enjoys ensuring that we deliver high quality solutions.


The QA Engineer will coordinate and drive all QA efforts for Jira and Confluence. The goal of the team is to own all of the instances of Jira (25) and Confluence (5) across the company. Today the team manages 6 Jira instances and 2 Confluence instances. Integrations with GitHub, GitLab, Slack, Rostr, Salesforce and Zendesk are in the project backlog. The Atlassian team is migrating all instances to Amazon Web Services.


Responsibilities:


- Develop Quality Assurance policies and procedures for enterprise Atlassian products


- Define and oversee QA test procedures for upgrades, projects, bug fixes and performance


- Develop QA automation and scripts


- Perform Atlassian application tuning


- Design and develop QA tests for application integrations with custom developed pplications and 3rd-party applications hosted within the network and within external SaaS environments


- When needed, evaluate, install, and configure Atlassian plug-ins


- When needed, collaborate with customers to gather user requirements for new solutions and functionality or modify existing solutions based on business needs


- When needed, create custom solutions using the Jira platform including workflows, screens, fields, notifications, authentication and authorization


- 2+ years as a Jira administration


- 2+ years Confluence administration


- 1+ years working in a large enterprise IT environment


- Experienced doing QA/Test with JIRA and Confluence


- In-depth understanding of Jira configurations (e.g. projects, workflows, screens, fields, plug-ins, dashboards, etc.)


- 1+ years' experience integrating Atlassian products with other Atlassian or 3rd-party applications


- Atlassian application tuning


- A knack for troubleshooting


- Jira


- Confluence


- Zephyr, QASymphony/QTest, Testlio, or equivalent tools

- Experienced doing QA/Test with multiple concurrent instances of JIRA and Confluence


- Experience developing of Java and Groovy listeners/scripts with ScriptRunner or similar tools


- Experience with Jira and/or Confluence training


- Experience resolving user issues and requests


- Experience gathering user requirements


- Shell scripting


Required Education: BA/BS degree or equivalent experience
