Description

POSITION PROFILE

Assume leadership and accountability for the implementation of sales improvement initiatives. Manage projects requiring careful assessment, planning and organizational commitment. Ensure the sales organization and other functional departments are aligned and ready to implement, adopt and sustain the chosen initiatives.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensures proper project scope, financial measures, project planning, communications, resources, results, and overall project quality -- develop metrics, goals and commitments for assigned projects / initiatives
  • Implements and governs initiatives to improve performance throughout the sales organization. Projects can include improvements to Territory Design, Quota Design, Account Planning, Sales Strategy, Deal Structure, Customer Experience, Buying Process, Sales Process, Quoting/ Configuring, Forecasting and Performance Management
  • Develops consistent sales processes and measures their impact on driving revenue and sales rep efficiencies. Drives consistency and standardization within the sales organization
  • Creates a system to automate, govern, measure and improve the sales execution processes
  • Collaborates with other functional groups including Training, Marketing, Finance, HR and IT to facilitate sales success
  • Clearly communicates and clarifies the purpose, goals, and expectations in a way that positively influences people and events
  • Work with functional and sales leadership to identify and select project team members for assigned projects
  • Regularly review project metrics and time line to ensure appropriate progress, especially related to longer-term projects / initiatives
  • Provide leadership for implementation of process changes by working with field operations teams -- drive change management and issue resolution related to functional process area of responsibility
  • Hold self and project team responsible for individual tasks assigned and overall project success
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Experience, and Certifications)

  • Four year college degree, business degree preferred
  • Minimum of five years Sales or Marketing experience required, including implementation of operational improvement initiatives
  • Proficiency in leading in a matrix management environment
  • Experience in Sales or Marketing process analysis, process design and process re-engineering
