Our client is looking for an experienced Project Manager that will be responsible for coordination and facilitation of actions of internal resources and partners for the implementation Office365 as a solution for Enterprise Content Management project

The Project Manager will work with Project Sponsors and Project Leads on a master plan that integrates with our 3 rd party partner plans while proactively raising potential and real-time issues along with plausible solutions. This will include developing, maintaining and monitoring a detailed project plan, facilitating meetings, documenting open items and decision points, identifying and resolving risk factors and communicating progress to the Project Sponsors, team members and key stakeholders. Success in this role will be dependent on implementation of the solution, but also relationship building with the project sponsors/leaders/adjunct 3 rd party vendors, as well as, the early identification and smooth resolution of issues.

The position must ensure that all necessary elements of the plan are in place including system design, configuration, testing, change management, training and support for a successful go-live. The Project Manager should have experience in large scale, complex Enterprise Content Management (ECM) or other IT system implementations with proven abilities to prepare, facilitate, monitor and communicate plans within organization specifications.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Responsibilities to Program & Portfolio Management Office

  • Build relationships among Project Sponsors, Project Team, Key Stakeholders and 3 rd Party partners to develop and deliver a successful plan.
  • Work with Project Sponsors and Stakeholders to ensure project scope is fully defined, that exclusions from scope are identified, and that business and technical assumptions and constraints are documented and resolved.
  • Work closely with the Program & Portfolio Management team to ensure the approach and the technology applied to the project is optimal and that the project remains on budget and schedule.

Project Management Responsibilities

  • Create and execute project work plans (Microsoft Project preferred) and revise as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
  • Build relationships and effectively communicate relevant project information to Project Sponsors, Project Team, partners and key stakeholders.
  • Integrate and assist in management of third party plans as part of the overall project schedule.
  • Communicate effectively with clients to identify needs and evaluate options and alternative business solutions.
  • Perform risk and issue analysis, management, planning, and mitigation activities, tracking, and reporting.
  • Recommend process improvements and provide effective management of assigned resources.
  • Facilitate and manage day-to-day operational aspects of the project and scope.
  • Employ quality management principles and review to ensure the quality of project deliverables and results before delivering to client.
  • Ensure project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately.
  • Hold and facilitate regular status meetings with project team.
  • Motivate team to work together in the most efficient manner.
  • Mitigate team conflict and communication problems.
  • Resolve and/or escalate issues in a timely fashion.
  • Manage project budget

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's degree preferably in business, systems or related technical field, with a minimum of 5 years of work experience in business, systems or related technical field.

Experience

  • The candidate must be technology savvy with a good understanding of IT application and operational processes.
  • The candidate needs to demonstrate the ability to manage large scale, complex ECM or other IT system implementations that include requirements gathering, design, configuration, testing, training and change management components.
  • Experience working with Agile (Scrum) teams.
  • Current PMP certification preferred.

Skills and Abilities

  • Demonstrated ability to lead multi-disciplinary and cross-functional project teams, with team member participation from the business and technical communities.
  • Maturity and persuasiveness to engage in business dialogue and support stakeholders.
  • Applied knowledge of best practices in traditional project management, including those used to initiate, plan, control, monitor and report on project activity.
  • Demonstrated experience managing projects that cover the full systems implementation lifecycle and all of the phases that comprise it; applied knowledge of diverse package implementation methodologies.
