The Client Partnership and Organization Development (CPOD) group is PeopleDev's client facing organization. This team works directly with Googlers' leaders and their teams on specific initiatives related to moving their organizations forward so that they can achieve their business goals. Examples of this include individual and team development, change management, or organization design. The three Centers of Expertise are the engines for CPOD's Practitioners where new content, thought leadership and strategy is developed. The content developed can be picked up and used by practitioners globally, eliminating the need to recreate content and resulting in new capabilities for Practitioners to meet business needs.

The Role:

This PM role, based in BLD or Bay Area, will manage projects and activities for the Centers of Expertise (COEs). This person will be responsible for project managing key initiatives, owning logistical planning for large events, engaging in basic internet research, tracking spend for activities and supporting the communication efforts for the COEs.

Our ideal candidate must be detail oriented, possess excellent organizational skills, be independent and demonstrate a high-level of "scrappiness" i.e. ability to be a self-starter and get the job done. They should be creative, continuously seek out ways to be efficient, and should grow positive working relationships with colleagues.

Top 3 Daily Responsibilities:

- Project manage internal CPOD projects, led by COE Leaders and Practitioners to ensure meetings get scheduled with reserved rooms, assist with managing agenda, checking in with individuals on deliverables and generally keeping project moving forward or flagging specific problems

- Manage COE budget, manually tracking expected expenses and working with colleagues and vendors to ensure timely and accurate payments are made

- Research, plan and support events for COEs including liaising with vendor partners, communicating with CPOD colleagues and partnering across PeopleDev with LEgo coordinators and others to plan logistics, space requirements, scheduling, food/restaurant needs and related activities

Additional Responsibilities

- Plan and support large meetings for COEs

- Manage tools and resources for the COEs ensuring they are up to date, correctly named/labeled and available for use in a timely way

- Provide limited communication support for events

Manage all logistics underpinning including supporting agenda creation, scheduling, space reservations, A/V support, registrations and other related requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

- BS/BA Degree (Manager is open to area of study)

- 3+ years of experience in project and/or program management, working in a professional environment

- Proven ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects and priorities

- Ability to thrive in an ambiguous and fast paced environment

- Excellent problem solving capabilities

- Bias toward action with extraordinary attention to detail

- Ability to work with little direction and oversight

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience planning large events or conferences

- Experience with Learning and Development or Leadership Programs
