Our client is looking for a Project Manager for their Epic Phoenix implementation for a 6+ month project in Sacramento, CA.

Basic Qualifications

- Minimum 3 years Healthcare IT project implementation experience as a project manager.

- Epic Phoenix 2017 or 2018 certified.

- Knowledge of all transplant workflows

- Experience with and advanced knowledge of UNOS Reporting requirements and process.

- Experience planning data conversion activities and processes.

- Provides direction, sets priorities, and analyzes workflow for clinical applications subordinate staff, according to established policies and management guidance.

- Receives assignments in the form of objectives with goals and the processes by which to attain them.

- Develops project definitions, resource allocation, and cost projections for new projects.

- Regularly meets with teams to actively identify and resolve escalated issues. Partners with CIO and other IT managers in issues resolution, as needed.

- Participates as part of multi-disciplinary project team to complete projects with requirements external to Epic applications.

- Collaborates with teams and stakeholders to create formal Project Charters and Project Plans.

- In partnership with IT Business Manager, and purchasing staff: leads technology equipment request for information (RFI), request for proposal (RFP), and vendor bidding processes as relevant to new and replacement system projects.

- Creates partnerships among all relevant departments / teams, vendors, and resources to ensure technology is fully and accurately designed, costed, and deployed.

- Ensures coordination and completion of high quality system design, thorough documentation, and deployment for all projects.

- Partners with Information Technology infrastructure, security, and other technical leaders to identify and document system requirements.

- Conducts and participates in departmental customer/stakeholder interviews to understand and document workflow and technology requirements.

- Conducts and participates in technology vendor interviews to coordinate/complete bids or RFPs as relevant for system budgeting and implementation planning.

- Regularly communicates project successes, as well as project issues, risks, and barriers to the CIO, IT managers, IT staff, and customers.

- Contributes to IT status reports by providing concise, meaningful project status updates on all completed, active, and future projects.

- Other project management duties as assigned.
