job summary:

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be working within the Solutions, Architectures and Engineering Organisation (SAE), which is a sales and engineering function that has the ultimate responsibility of driving sales via the global channel community. The project manager will report into both the PMO lead and Program owner, and is expected to be a core part of the PMO team to help drive continuous framework and execution improvement. They will join a community of like-minded and skilled individuals who enjoy innovating and building a framework that will scale and last beyond completion of individual projects.

The project manager must be able to take the initiative, self-motivate and stay highly engaged to drive project success. Take direction from the PMO and Program leads while also being able to self-manage the work, ensuring timelines are met and deliverables completed to quality levels.

They must be able to work comfortably in a virtual team environment, be flexible with working hours due to the global nature of the role and stakeholders. Work collaboratively with other business related teams, project resources and IT teams. Understand project interdependencies between the various related projects and ensure a smooth flow of information and warm hand-off points where required.

The project manager will be required to understand and articulate the program goals and responsibilities, down to the tactical execution level. The primary project will be focused on the evolution and adoption of SD-WAN in our partner and customer communities.

responsibilities:

Job Responsibilities Include:

- Drive and track project execution across various stakeholder groups in different geographic regions.

- Develop a deep understanding of the organisation's internal business model and operational framework, while supporting the project's execution requirements, business metrics and reporting.

- Develop subject matter expertise by staying up to date on key organisational initiatives, technology concepts, business planning activities and timelines pertaining to the project.

- Revise and update the existing project plan, and communication plan that ensures continued project improvement and success.

- Ensure strong follow-up and follow-through to track project progress and reporting as it aligns to the project roadmap.

- Provide project status updates and reporting support, where requested and as directed by the Program leads, and PMO lead.

- Understand the internal procurement and budget management process and policy, as it relates to operating compliantly with financial transactions.

- Participate and be responsible for the review and completion of project statements of work and creation of purchase requisitions as needed.

- Provide consultation and guidance to your project stakeholders to ensure compliance, governance, structure and strong planning forms part of the execution.

- Contribute to and support the improvement of our PMO function, be an active participant who shares and learns, supporting the growth of the team.

skills:

Skills & Experience Required:

- Project management certified preferred (e.g. PMP, Prince2, College/Tertiary degree).

- 7-10 years' experience in a project management lead role.

- Leadership, meeting facilitation and negotiation skills.

- Knowledgeable in the use of project management and planning tools and techniques.

- Excellent MS Word, PPT, Excel, Project/Smartsheet skills.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

- Ability to create impactful presentations and verbally present content over different mediums.

- Strong procurement management/ budget planning and tracking experience.

- Understanding of IT/Networking Architecture an advantage.
