- Responsible for all aspects of the development/implementation of a systems project or program involving department or cross-functional teams focused on the delivery of a computer-based system from the design process through a finished state for internal/external customers.

- Provides a single point of contact for projects and responsible to take projects from original concept through final implementation and responsible for conducting project meetings.

- Interfaces with all areas affected by the project including end users, computer services, and client services.

- Defines project scope and objectives. Oversees/coordinates all aspects of project and serves as project manager between clients, systems, line management and other departments. Plans and directs schedules as well as project budgets.

- Monitors the product/program/project from initiation through delivery, interfacing with customer on technical and non-technical matters.

- Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals. Manage integration of vendor tasks and tracks success.

- Develops detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, budgets, and status reports.

Key Responsibilities -

1. Development of project plan and tasks while providing high degree of customer service

2. Manages and coordinates all customer calls and updates project plan accordingly

3. Collaborate and manage coordination of engaging other business units and vendors to meet timeline for project - this includes but not limited to interfaces and interacting with product development teams

4. Review resources and staffing requirements and ensure reaching maximum efficiencies in process

5. Oversee and coordinate with Implementation lead for key customer facing activities like training and workflow to ensure completed on time.

6. Issue tracking and reporting on weekly basis

7. Baseline knowledge of EMR

Desired Qualifications:

5+ years experience in project management, requirements definition, building systems solutions and/ or deployment of business requirements to information systems.

Critical Skills:

- Direct experience in project management for healthcare technology systems, preferably EMR

- Ability to generate and track multiple system implementation project plans according to budget, customer expectations, and deadlines.

- Experience with project management tools and methodologies, strong critical thinking, attention to detail, and problem solving-skills.

- Excellent written, verbal, and facilitation skills to communicate critical milestones professionally with people at all levels of the organization and with external customers.

- Demonstrated success in the managing and delegating in a team-based environment.

- Project management (PMP) certification

- Strong Microsoft Office products experience including PowerPoint, Excel, MS Project; and Visio required

Additional Knowledge/Skills :

- Experience with iKnowMed or other EMR, practice management, drug inventory type systems, strongly preferred.

- Experience with radiation oncology, either working in private practice or in an academic setting strongly preferred


4-year degree in computer science or related field or equivalent experience
