Position summary

Product Marketing leader role is one of critical positions in Korea Marketing. This position is deeply engaged in annual and quarterly marketing and business strategies in IBM Korea.
Product Marketing Leader will lead Field Marketers (Brand Marketers) and Product Marketers of Diamond Teams (IBMs unique marketing operating model) to drive marketing contribution in creating and making markets according to the market and business needs.
One of the critical role of Product Marketing Leader role is to adopt and execute AP/WW marketing initiatives (i.e. Signature Events, Account Based Marketing tactics) and closely work with AP Brand Marketing Team in representing Korea cross Brand strategies and executions
Product Marketing leader works closely with local Performance Marketing leader to drive Korea marketing planning and campaigns execution, and also to partner with Channel Marketing team to coordinate Client Engagement Activities according to agreed Go-to-Market strategy.
This role supports local CMO on strategic initiatives and plays an acting role when CMO is I absence.

Key responsibilities:
  • Create and execute a product marketing plan for IBM Korea. Develop product marketing strategy per business needs, market, and competitor insights to shape the plan. Work collaboratively with the product specific offer managers and marketing managers and partnership sales team to develop and implement the plan.
  • Works closely with Brand Leaders/ Business Unit Leaders to identify marketing actions to help close gaps to budget/target
  • Lead Field Marketers in delivering marketing metrics for their Brands, new product launches locally building on WW/AP launch plans, Brand content shows up in best of breed across all marketing tactics, offering selections, lead management for campaigns and enabling Brand sales team on marketing campaigns
  • Lead Diamond Team Product Marketers in developing marketing plans for the Diamond team including cohort selection, value prop and routes drawing from Brand Marketing and Business Plans, target audience selection for campaigns and develops differentiated value prop for different marketing executions (i.e. Events, Digital, Social), content localization building a content map against a campaign journey
  • Play a role as Advocates and Social Eminence for Thought Leadership and IBMs key strategic brand leadership
  • Works with WW/AP/Local Brands to identify SMEs/Spokespeople externally and internally for local events
  • Identify and develop IBM local Win stories, client references, testimonials for internal and external use
  • Together with AP marketing and Sales teams, identify and develop key opinion leaders group leveraging and amplifying partnership with IBM on key products/services

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
  • Marketing experience (10+ yrs), ideally with exposure to B2B markets
  • Solutions marketing, product marketing, product management or applicable experience
  • Ability to communicate effectively and articulate/align technical features to customer needs
  • Good knowledge of sales, marketing and development processes.
  • Demonstrated leadership, sales support, project management and training skills - as well as working across all levels of the organization
  • Excellent analytical and presentation skills including demonstration skills to handle many assignments simultaneously
  • Proven success in people management, as a leader of a group of various functions/teams
  • Ability to manage uncertainty and influential skills essential
  • MBA preferred
  • Fluent in English speaking and writing
