We are looking for a Director, Product Marketing with a passion for developing and delivering high-impact sales and marketing collateral to join the SugarCRM Product Marketing team for our ground-breaking new Relationship Intelligence product line. You will focus on creating successful customers by effectively delivering a comprehensive set of assets to support every stage of the sales funnel. You enjoy developing high-quality content, have an eye for creativity, and an aptitude to rapidly learn new concepts and skills. You should also have a proven track record of delivering successful results in the same or similar position at a CRM or another B2B software company.

Reporting to the VP Product Marketing and working closely with internal SugarCRM teams and partner organizations, you will drive and develop product messaging and positioning.  You will develop key sales and marketing collateral plus training materials and will then enable the SugarCRM customer-facing organizations as well as SugarCRM Partners to effectively create successful Sugar customers. 

This great opportunity is ideally suited for an ambitious seasoned product marketing professional looking to make a big impact in an exciting company.  The Product Marketing organization is a conduit between everyone in product development, the field, partners, and customers.  As such, you will have plenty of opportunity to interact with and add value to each of those individual teams.  This role is critical to unlocking the potential of SugarCRM.


  • Work with Products, Marketing, and Sales to define product requirements, top-level messaging and positioning, and competitive differentiators for our new Relationship Intelligence product line
  • Develop sales enablement material and deliver that material to SugarCRM customer-facing organizations, VARs, and strategic ISV partners
  • Define and execute marketing programs to drive demand and sales opportunities
  • Create and maintain content for critical marketing collateral including data sheets, presentations, web site, videos, whitepapers, and social media
  • Perform competitive analysis and develop competitive sales tools and marketing collateral
  • Develop demonstration scripts that highlight Sugar’s advantages and differentiators
  • Answer ad hoc inquiries required to enable individual opportunities
  • Act as an evangelist for SugarCRM inside and outside of the company

Note: This is an individual contributor role.


  • Minimum 5+ years of relevant product marketing experience
  • 2-3 years’ experience at a CRM, SaaS, or cloud computing company
  • Familiarity with data enrichment and data mining concepts
  • Proven ability to translate technical features into business benefits
  • Ability to interact with diverse technical and non-technical groups at all organizational levels
  • Well organized and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong analytical and presentations skills
  • University degree required, MBA a plus
  • Willingness to travel as necessary to be successful
