As part of the Marketing organization, the team focuses on how best to represent the Discover brand to our customers while providing them with a best-in-class web and app experience for interacting with Discover.\u003C/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003EThe DUX team is looking for a Principle, Digital Innovation and Strategy to join our innovative, fast-paced, user-focused team who can complement our skillset of user experience and design professionals. This person should be passionate about the user experience field, especially when it comes to designing smart, intuitive solutions that meet the needs of the user. They will join the rapidly-growing program of User Centered Design that works directly with Business Partners to apply design thinking to early-phase initiatives, creating experiences based in user insights and expectations\u003C/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003EResponsibilities\u003C/strong\u003E\u003C/p\u003E\u003Cul\u003E\u003Cli\u003ELeverages design thinking principles and activities to plan, lead, and facilitate sessions for business partners and teammates while partnering closely with internal consumer insights team to execute user research\u003C/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003ECombines empathy, creative instinct, and business intuition to challenge our institutional assumptions about our cardmembers, and facilitates methodologies to create user-driven solutions\u003C/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003EFacilitates and manages initiatives within the user centered design program, including educating business partners on methods for collecting user insights, executing the sessions, and applying learnings to the design\u003C/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003ECreates low-fidelity UX assets (wireframes, design comps, prototypes) to support design exploration, and user testing needs\u003C/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003ESpearheads design audit activities to ensure that Discover\u0027s unique brand presence is consistently communicated\u003C/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003EDistills qualitative and quantitative feedback to unearth recurring themes and promote data-driven design decisions\u003C/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003EPlans, prepares, and coordinates logistics around design innovation sessions\u003C/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003ELeads sessions with business partners to document user flows, journey maps, and define the user problems to solve\u003C/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003ETracks initiative status, progress, and budget\u003C/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003ESeeks out process improvements and new methodologies to supplement existing programs\u003C/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003ECollaborates with creative agencies throughout conceptual and detailed design phases\u003C/li\u003E\u003C/ul\u003E \u003C/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003E \u003Cp\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003EMinimum Qualifications\u003C/strong\u003E\u003C/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003EAt a minimum, here\u0027s what we need from you:\u003C/strong\u003E\u003C/p\u003E\u003Cul\u003E\u003Cli\u003EBachelor\u0027s Degree in Finance, Marketing, Communications, Business, Computer Technology, or related field\u003C/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003E4\u002B years of experience in Marketing, Digital Marketing, Technology, Project Management, Marketing Operations, Communications, Digital Communications, Digital Content Publishing, Web Development and Design, or related field\u003C/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003EIn lieu of a degree, 6\u002B years of experience in Product Development, Mobile \u0026 Digital Payments, eCommerce, Digital Wallets, Cloud Wallets, or related field\u003C/li\u003E\u003C/ul\u003E\u003Cp\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003EPreferred Qualifications\u003C/strong\u003E\u003C/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003EIf we had our say, we\u0027d also look for:\u003C/strong\u003E\u003C/p\u003E\u003Cul\u003E\u003Cli\u003EMaster\u0027s Degree in Finance, Marketing, Communications, Business, Computer Technology, or related field\u003C/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003E6\u002B years of experience in Product Development, Mobile \u0026 Digital Payments, eCommerce, Digital Wallets, Cloud Wallets, or related field\u003C/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003EExcellent public speaker and presenter, comfortable facilitating Design Thinking and ideation sessions of participants in large and small groups\u003C/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003EAccountable, self-starting, and proactive; always looking for process improvements and creative ways to solve problems\u003C/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003EExperience conducting or participating in various types of qualitative research, or experience interpreting and synthesizing research to guide design decisions\u003C/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003EProven track record of working with designers, engineers, and product/business stakeholders to accomplish great things\u003C/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003EUnderstanding of user research within the design lifecycle, and how to apply user insights to design\u003C/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003EStrives to bring order to chaos through ruthless prioritization and organization, combined with strong communication skills \u003C/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003EPassion for digital user experience and design\u003C/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003EExperience creating design artifacts such as (but not limited to), wireframes, user flows, user journey maps, design comps, prototypes \u003C/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003ESkilled at Sketch, InVision, and Adobe Creative Suite, or similar tools\u003C/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003EExperience with Agile methodology and tools\u003C/li\u003E\u003C/ul\u003E \u003C/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003E \u003C/p\u003E \u003Cp\u003E The same way we treat our employees is how we treat all applicants - with respect.
