One of our Taylor clients is looking to add an Oracle Database Administrator to their growing team.


Description:


Key Skill sets: Oracle 11g and 12c, Oracle Identity Access Management Suite, Oracle Cloud Control 13c, Active Directory, RMAN, Data Guard, ASM, Teamwork, Curiosity, and Communication.


Summary of Responsibilities:


Support the integration of Oracle Database User Authentication with Active Directory in Oracle 10g, 11g, and 12c databases using Oracle Identity Access Management Suite. Candidate will participate in defining authorization groups, mapping database authorization groups to Active Directory roles, implementing Active Directory/LDAP authentication mechanisms in Oracle databases, and assisting users with the conversion process. Also create scripts to perform database configuration functions and perform export and import operations on user data and Oracle system and configuration information.


Essential Job Functions:


- Communicate clearly and effectively using written and verbal communication methods.


- Cultivate strong working relationships with personnel in other IT and Business groups.


- Assist with implementation of Oracle Identity Management Suite for Oracle database account management.


- Implement Active Directory Authentication for Oracle database accounts.


- Develop Oracle privilege groups based on organizational workgroups and Active Directory models.


- Convert database user accounts to Active Directory managed authentication.


- Assist users as needed to implement AD authenticated database accounts.


- Coordinate changes with other members of the DBA team.


- Manage and maintain databases using Oracle Enterprise Manager.


- Deploy schema changes and application updates.


- Install and maintain database products including patching and upgrading of environments.


- Create/maintain DBA BASH/SHELL/SQL/PLSQL scripts.


- Coordinate with software vendor technical support.


- Coordinate and implement changes to development, test, and production environments.


- Knowledge of GoldenGate replication administration is a plus.


- Perform other duties as assigned.


Experience and Educational Requirements:


- B.S. in Management Information Systems or Computer Science (4 year degree). An equivalent combination of related education, training and experience may be considered.


- 7+ years (in excess of degree requirements stated above) of progressively responsible information technology work experience with various database management systems in database design, testing, implementation, maintenance and administration in a multiple platform environment.


- 7+ years Oracle database management experience.


- 7+ years Oracle database security and user management.


- 5+ years in Oracle Data Guard.


- 3+ years of experience with Oracle Identity Management or Active Directory authentication of Oracle database accounts.


- 2+ years direct, hands-on experience with SQL/PLSQL.


- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.


- Experience in UNIX environments. AIX preferred.


- Familiarity with NERC CIP, SSAE16, and/or SOC compliance standards is a plus.


- Must be willing to share knowledge freely and teach skills and concepts to others.


- Must be curious and willing to learn.
