Operational Services Management Leader - Technology Chief Operating Officer Group

Reporting in to our Chief Operating Officer for Enterprise Information Technology (EIT), the Operational Services Management Leader will lead the initiative to influence change and ensure the Technology organization is operating in an effective, compliant, and highly available manner. The selected candidate will leverage industry knowledge and experience to lead Wells Fargos critical horizontal IT efforts and Technology Competency Centers; and will ensure that Technology adheres to the defined Target Operating Model and processes.

This leader will partner closely with Technology Risk Management to ensure the Technology organization is appropriately mitigating risk and achieving control objectives related to the confidentiality, integrity, availability, and resiliency of our data, systems and applications.

Position Responsibilities:

Specific functional accountabilities include:

  • Define, maintain and lead an accountability organization across critical horizontals such as: Asset Management; Configuration Management; Availability Management; Incident Management; and Access Management
  • Defines and maintains compliance standards for Technology Competency Centers, e.g., Application, Middleware, Firmware/OS/ Server, EUC/Mobile/Desktop, Connectivity (Network), Data
  • Drives availability excellence within and outside Wells Fargo while building an accountable organization model that represents Wells Fargo appropriately with the regulators
  • Maintains and ensures Technology adheres to target operating models and technology processes

Drives continual improvement across our service management processes to deliver efficiency and to ensure appropriate control objectives are established and embedded in the technology practices and daily operations



Required Qualifications

  • 12+ years of technology infrastructure and strategy experience
  • 7+ years of management experience in technology



Desired Qualifications

  • Experience managing multiple enterprise-wide technology infrastructure or service components or all end-to-end distributive infrastructure activities for the enterprise



Other Desired Qualifications
  • Broad knowledge of the IT function and how IT enables the business through effective strategic planning, governance and management discipline
  • Experience driving executive level reviews with focus on resolving issues and mitigating risk
  • Proven ability to leverage industry best practices to enable, support and drive the successful, high-quality and integrated delivery of solutions through program management alignment and consistency
  • 5+ years senior leader experience with demonstrated ability to collaborate and effectively partner/influence at the senior executive level to include (Operating and or Management Committee members)
  • Proven experience in establishing a large scale vision, developing the strategy to support the vision, gaining consensus across key functional leadership through effective communication, and driving the vision to closure through the effective management of goals and objectives
  • Demonstrated knowledge of IT governance frameworks, including COBIT and ITIL and experience creating and implementing technology strategies and program frameworks based on regulatory standards
  • Demonstrated experience developing, implementing and maturing critical ITIL processes and services in a highly complex technology environment with emphasis on continual improvement
  • Proven strong leadership and change management capability to provide direction to the team
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively drive and lead organizational change
  • Virtual leadership experience with ability to effectively drive results, provide feedback/direction, and manage and build relationships with leaders and team members in a geographically dispersed team environment
  • Experience working with external organizations such as: public institutions, regulatory agencies and industry groups
