Leads the delivery of a complex project. Maintains a tactical focus. Sets clear objectives and defined deliverables. Develops cost benefit analyses for the project, communicates to an executive committee, creates and reports project status utilizing a dashboard, allocates resources, defines project governance policies and manages the financial concerns. Utilizes and effectively communicates technical components of an initiative to applicable parties.

Ability to lead a cross-functional team while motivating team members to their highest potential. Requires excellent oral and written communication skills as well as business presentation skills. Excellent analytical skills. Interfaces effectively with all levels and across organizational lines, including the business units.

Effectively utilizes external vendors and internal resources. Demonstrated success at building team relationships and partnerships across organizational lines.

Experience Level: 2+ years of experience required. Education: BA/BS Degree or 4 years of additional experience required.

Top Daily Duties

1. Provides day to day operational and tactical supervision of staff and processes in the development of a Regional Revenue Cycle business unit

2. Responsible for identification and implementation of key revenue cycle initiatives for the business unit by assembling and managing necessary resources.

3. Billing operations, including the management and oversight of work queues in EPIC to assist in cycle times within defined parameters

4. Monitors performance results through observations, audits, statistical data analysis & operational reports, to achieve & sustain target operational metrics & address deficiencies by developing & implementing action plans, process improvement & employee development.

Skills and Requirements

1. Five (5) years of relevant, progressive experience in a management role.

2. Three (3) years of concurrent experience in a revenue cycle capacity in an acute hospital environment.

3. Bachelor's degree, OR four (4) years of directly related experience in Revenue Cycle.

4. Working knowledge of revenue cycle including: Insurance coverage, benefits and authorization requirements; Payer specific requirements (e.g.workers' compensation, managed care, commercial insurance, third party liability,Medicare, Medi-Cal,and other government programs)

5. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (i.e. Excel,Word, PowerPoint).

1. Experience working in a union environment.

2. Experience working with automated mainframe, personal computer and business software applications.

1. Demonstrated ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams through complex, medical, social and financial conversations.

2. Ability to analyze trends, develop and maintain performance goals and regularly provide information to senior management.

3. Must be able to demonstrate effective written and verbal communication skills, as well as training and facilitation skills.

4. Excellent supervisory, problem solving and decision making skills required.

5. Must possess experience managing through direct reporting relationships as well as through influence and collaboration with providers and executives, both inside and outside client.

6. Must have experience developing and maintaining budgets and operating plans.

7. Skilled in team building, team participation, and achieving organizational success.

8. Skilled in coaching, counseling, and developing others to achieve operational objectives.
