The Canada and Latin America Operational Risk team provides guidance and oversight for the Wells Fargo lines of business operating in Canada and Latin America countries.

The successful candidate will:

  • Manage the development, execution and ongoing monitoring of the Business Process Risk Management (BPRM) program to identify, assess and mitigate operational risk that arises from inadequate or failed internal processes, people, systems or external events across both regions, while maintaining a balance between risk mitigation and operational efficiency;
  • Be responsible for ownership of the Risk and Control Self-Assessment program, including coordination, review and challenge of submissions from Lines of Business as well as presenting findings on changes operational risk exposure;
  • Provide operational risk expertise to ensure lines of businesses (LOBs) manage business process risks effectively, with effective monitoring, reporting and governance;
  • Identify operational risk issues and evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of policies, procedures, processes, initiatives, products and internal controls related to risk;
  • Provide consulting expertise and support for projects and initiatives with moderate to high risk;
  • Contribute to the production of region-specific operational risk reports for regional and international governance and management forums;
  • Advise management on risk ratings and evaluate ratings against established policy standards;
  • Develop and deliver communication and training to LOBs and support partners;
  • Consult with business to develop corrective action plans and effectively manage change; and
  • Identify training opportunities, providing input to the development of training materials and delivering training to team members.
