Who We Are

The Wells Fargo Technology Risk Management team is responsible for driving the execution and comprehensive view of risk across Enterprise Information Technology (EIT) and the firm by instilling a risk management culture where businesses are accountable for understanding and managing their risk. Technology Risk Management is organized around shared and divisional responsibilities to provide first-line-of-defense risk management support to drive the execution of the Technology Risk Management Program.

What we are looking for:

The Technology Risk team is seeking an experienced Operational Risk Consultant to provide senior leadership support for external engagements with Regulators, interactions with other third parties and adherence to the technology risk and control framework.

Areas of focus include, but are not limited to:

  • Tracking and reporting on deliverables
  • Organizing flow of information and activity during regulatory examinations, for external third party requests and other risk management activities. Includes design/management of online repository.
  • Gathering, reviewing and compiling information as required for examinations, regulatory meetings, third party requests and reports

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

Our environment continues to be one of the heightened regulatory standards and raised risk consciousness. As part of the First Line of Defense, this role provides leadership support to ensure consistency and accountability for external engagements and adherence to risk management standards.



Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in compliance, operational risk management (includes audit, legal, credit risk, market risk, or the management of a process or business with accountability for compliance or operational risk), or a combination of both
  • 2+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: additional compliance, additional operational risk management, IT systems security, business process management or financial services industry experience; or a BS/BA degree or higher in business or a related field

  • Intermediate Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, LiveMeeting and SharePoint) skills
  • Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Information Systems Auditor, (CISA) Certification in Control Self-Assessment (CCSA), Certified Information Systems Security Professional, (CISSP) or other risk management discipline certification



Other Desired Qualifications
  • 2+ years in regulatory affairs, audit or third party relationship management
  • Ability to independently lead multiple tasks, synthesize data from a variety of sources and deliver results quickly
  • Experience in successfully navigating large groups of stakeholders and influencing for timely delivery of requests
  • Experience in evaluating the adequacy of information against the request requirements
  • Knowledge of risk and control fundamentals, frameworks and methodologies, common implementation challenges
  • Demonstrated negotiation skills, especially with difficult topics when partnering with senior management. This includes the willingness and ability to question decisions, understand direction and escalate issues, where necessary.
