The successful candidate will partner with line of business team members in Enterprise Information Technology (EIT) Operations to provide support and guidance in the development and execution for first line of defense risk activities, including risk identification, measurement, and reporting. The successful candidate will utilize knowledge of issue monitoring, risk control self-assessment processes, internal loss data, and external loss data to help identify and measure the impact of technology related risks on overall operational risk assessments.

Position Responsibilities
Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Work collaboratively with technology and enterprise operational risk professionals to support the execution of risk management disciplines across technology processes with particular emphasis on risk identification, measurement, and reporting
  • Foster an ongoing healthy relationship with business partners and risk stakeholders, through regular communication, active participation in meetings/presentations, consulting support, and related reporting
  • Proactively manage awareness and escalation of business risk issues, mitigation activities, required deliverables, and related evidence of completed activities, as necessary
  • Support planned and ad hoc risk related requests and initiatives for business partners
  • Review artifacts for completeness, quality, and content and provide challenge where appropriate

Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in compliance, operational risk management (includes audit, legal, credit risk, market risk, or the management of a process or business with accountability for compliance or operational risk), or a combination of both
  • 2+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: additional compliance, additional operational risk management, IT systems security, business process management or financial services industry experience; or a BS/BA degree or higher in business or a related field
  • 2+ years of risk management and mitigation experience

Other Desired Qualifications
  • Previous experience with IT Service Management tools like Remedy, ServiceNow, and etc. would be beneficial
  • Exposure to risk frameworks such as NIST, CoBIT, ITIL, and/or other frameworks
  • Ability to exhibit credible challenge
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), or Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC) would be beneficial
  • 1 or more years of experience in one or more of the following: Vulnerability Management, Patch Management, Asset Management, Configuration Management.
  • Demonstrated IT operational risk knowledge/experience including design of effective control processes, development of test requirements and/or testing controls design and effectiveness.
  • Experience in developing constructive and transparent relationships across business groups.
  • Demonstrated strong analytical and problem solving skills including the ability to research and understand complex processes and effectively communicate them to interested parties in effective manner.
