Your Role and Responsibilities
Network Services Sales Specialist - Network Services is a service line in the IBM GTS organization responsible for sales of IBM and IBM partner Networking, Security, and SD-WAN product and services portfolio deployed on-premise, in the cloud, or as a managed service.

The successful candidate will work closely with internal IBM teams and stakeholders to build strong value propositions for our clients in the Canadian financial services sector (banks and insurance companies). In addition to Networking, a strong business and technical understanding of cloud solutions and open source technologies is required.

This role will interface with internal client teams, pre-sales, finance/pricing teams, service delivery, operations, managed service teams, and technical support teams.




Required Technical and Professional Expertise
Strong IP networking and SD-WAN technical skills, sales/closing skills, business development skills, financial selling skills, significant network and IT industry knowledge, large and complex deal skills, significant knowledge of cloud, server, storage, and operating systems, deep understanding of managed services, an ability to work in a matrixed environment, outstanding oral, written, and presentation communication skills, and an ability to team and function in team selling environments as well as sell alone and without assistance.
-A minimum of 8 years of direct networking sales experience.

-Experience having sold network solutions such as Cisco, Aruba, F5, Palo Alto, Checkpoint, Dell/VMWare, SD-WAN and network and IT infrastructure services along with understanding of cloud and open source technologies
BA/BS or Engineering Degree is required
-Strong understanding and relationships within the OEM networking industry
-Experience selling to the Ontario Enterprise.
-Travel 25%


Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
-Experience having sold network solutions such as Cisco, Aruba, F5, Palo Alto, Checkpoint, Dell/VMWare, SD-WAN and network and IT infrastructure services along with understanding of cloud and open source technologies.
-Strong understanding and relationships within the OEM networking industry.
-Previous experience selling to the Ontario Enterprise Sector.
