Lead the development of DDI (Domain Name System(DNS), Dynamic Host Configuration (DHCP), & IP Address Management (IPAM)) systems, Anycast & NTP/PTP Services, all of which are foundational technology systems that exist at the core of Wells Fargos network with the ability to affect customer-facing application systems and critical business functions across the enterprise.

Develop new solutions for deployment in production based on Architecture requirements provided by Lead Network Planning and Architecture group. This may be project driven or architecture driven. Conducts technology and network assessments, including solutions to enhance or create new business opportunities, integrating multiple technologies. Individual serves as the highest level data network consultant to internal clients and technical management in all areas of the business to ensure conformity with corporate network architecture.

Provides the highest technical expertise for the planning, analysis, design, implementation, maintenance, and control of the organization's voice, video and data network. Handles and leads the most complex or critical network initiatives that typically involve multiple network disciplines/protocols and multiple business groups, including responsibility for network design, engineering and sustainment. As the recognized technical expert in a given network domain or practice, consults extensively with technology and/or business groups to provide strategic solutions, influencing long-range internal and enterprise-level network design, engineering and management strategies. Serves as a consultant on emerging network trends, and helps to identify those that will help to further WFs network strategy. Identifies options and drives to conclusion with little management oversight. Provides leadership, oversight, and mentoring and to less experienced staff. May represent the organization as an external spokesperson.

Duties will include but not limited to:

Roadmap/Horizon Planning Documents Pipeline Documents Feature Mapping Function Mapping LCM Mapping Design Options Liasion for Infrastructure Architecture (IA)/Line of Business (LOB) Engaged for Major Projects Technical Lead Responsible for oversight of entire domain

Develops and maintain Network Deployment Guide or Solution Guides (DG) for assigned Domain Area (DA). Identify new products for EOS/EOL. Identify new products to support new MBOs (requiring new features) or to fill gaps. Document evaluation criteria. Develop and participate in POCs at vendor sites for new products and services. Develop Functional and Integration Testing at WFS lab for new products and services. Ensures new product / solution is supported end to end. Develop scripts and templates for new services (outputs to Network Engineering). Validates / proves out and refines high level architectural designs developed by planning. Defines Design elements, Statement of work to engage the LAB to establish new development environments for Solutions to be developed. (Provide Bill of materials ardware/software) Work with planning to obtain seed funding. Research and document industry best practices. Communicate development steps completed and action items. Consults with technical groups, users and/or vendors to identify and influence functional specifications and business/technical requirements. Proposes and creates conceptual network design/hardware reconfiguration and implementation methods. Plans and oversees network studies and traffic analyses. Oversees forecasts of network traffic and capacity. Design work is creative, unique, sophisticated and complex. Provides updates to the service catalog and add certified new equipment to release procurement for network engineers to order.

Required Qualifications

10+ years of network engineering experience7 + years of DDI experience (Data Name Services (DNS), Dynamic Host Configuration (DHCP), and IP Address Management (IPAM))

Desired Qualifications

Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skillsA certification in one or more of the following: Infoblox Core Network Expert, BlueCat Fundamentals Certified Professional (BFCP) or Cisco CCNP/CCIELeadership experience Experience with public and private cloud integration with AWS, IAAS, Asure or GoogleExperience with DNS Firewall concepts and practical applicationsAPI programming experience with Perl, XML, REST or JSONExperience with HPNA, SNMP and SPLUNKKnowledge and understanding of Active Directory replication and authenticationKnowledge and understanding of software defined networkingKnowledge and understanding of technical documentation: for technical design documentation used by engineering teams

Other Desired Qualifications Demonstrated understanding or certification in the areas of: API programming (Perl, XML, REST, JSON) Infoblox NIOS, BlueCat certification or demonstrated understanding ISC BIND, DHCP certification or demonstrated understanding Active Directory replication and authentication Unix command skills with shell scripting IPv6 3+ years of experience in design of Time Services architecture inclusive of: Stratum 0+ time services Resiliency in Time Services Time Services monitoring and FINRA and MiFID II regulation Must be self-driven and able to work with little supervision and directionJob Expectations
