Provide senior technical support and consultation associated with F5 operating systems or subsystems. Provides 3rd level on call support. Defines systems software and/or hardware requirements and determines system specifications and/or customizations. Coordinates the design of subsystems and integration of total systems. Provides the strategy and design to build a utility for systems programming tasks required for installations, configurations, upgrades and testing. Develops new documentation, departmental

procedures, and user support guides. Follows procedures to coordinate and/or implement complex operationally driven move/add/change. Responsible for creating and maintaining load balancing standards. Responsible for creating load balancing designs based on application needs.

Preferred locations: MN, AZ, NC & IA. Will consider other locations.

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in network operations, network engineering, or a combination of both
  • 5+ years of F5 LTM experience
  • 3 + years of Unix or Linux administration experience

Desired Qualifications

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Knowledge and understanding of network fundamentals, such as routing, subnets,
  • Knowledge and understanding of network infrastructure systems (routing, switching, load balancing, or firewalls) and internet technologies
  • Knowledge and understanding of system engineering with emphasis on load balancing or network infrastructure
  • Knowledge and understanding of load balancing and application delivery
  • Knowledge and understanding of principles and practices involved in designing, constructing, installing, maintaining, and operating Application Delivery Controllers (Load Balancing)
  • Knowledge and understanding of technology production support: installation environments utilizing three tiered architecture including web servers, app servers and database servers
  • Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills
  • Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE)
  • SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) Internet security protocol experience

Other Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with performing code upgrades on LTM and GTM devices
  • Experience with performing base builds and configurations for F5 LTM/GTM
  • Experience working with LAN and WAN topologies, TCP/IP protocol, routers, switches, and firewalls in Internet, Intranet and Extranet environments
  • Experience configuring and troubleshooting F5 OS version, 10.x, 11.x and 12.x
  • F5 Certified BIG-IP Administrator
