WHO YOU ARE...


Randstad's Client is looking for a dynamic and resourceful Network Data Center Analyst who is not afraid to continually stretch and grow, to join our growing IT Network Team. You have extensive and broad experience with switching, routing, firewall, VPN, application delivery controllers, content networking and network management systems across complex architectures, platforms and mediums. You will be a critical member of the IT Network team where you will have the opportunity to directly contribute to enhancing existing network services, including, but not limited to: making recommendations, defining the ROI, and implementing these improvements using an accepted change control methodology. As a self-motivated team player with excellent communication skills you will enjoy the quick pace while keeping in sync with colleagues across multiple geographic areas. Your analytical and critical thinking skills, along with your training and extensive experience, will provide you the ability to define and follow standards and best practices for network design, testing, and implementation methodology.


What YOU'LL BE DOING...


In this role and as a member of the Information Technology Network team, you will work with various functional areas on gathering requirements, evaluating, designing, implementing, and supporting the network and the underlying data center infrastructure technologies that will enable the organization to work effectively and productively. Here's a short list:



  • Define, document and implement strategy, direction and architectures for the global access network environment.
  • Research, design, plan, and implement new network technologies into current operating environment. Test and evaluate future looking technologies by participating in beta tests of given technologies.
  • Automate provisioning workflows, code tools to manage the network, and integrate software-defined systems to replace traditional hardware.
  • Configure, deploy, fine-tune, monitor, maintain, upgrade, troubleshoot, support and repair the enterprise and data center networks as required.


Requirements



  • 4+ years of direct engineering and design experience in the networking industry
  • 2+ years of direct experience in data center deployment or operations
  • Extensive working knowledge of, including the ability to setup, configure, upgrade, manage, and troubleshoot Cisco routers, data center switches and firewalls, using IOS, IOS-XE, NX-OS, and IOS-XR
  • Experience working with F5 application delivery controllers or other load balancers
  • Experience with Arista data center switches and Fortinet firewalls
  • Hands on experience with virtualization technologies with an emphasis on OpenStack, VMware, or public clouds such as Amazon Web Services
  • Familiarity with DevOps, ability to consume APIs using scripting languages like Python or Ruby, and network automation using tools like Ansible or Git
  • U.S Government position. U.S citizenship required


Preferences



  • Cisco CCNP (with equivalent experience)
  • Experience supporting and troubleshooting Linus and Windows multi-tier applications
