Your Role and Responsibilities

Cloud computing continues its steady march into the mainstream with the majority of large organizations now contributing to this technology model and basing their business strategies on the benefits which cloud can offer. Enterprise Business acceptance of cloud technology has stimulated the creation a vast range of on-demand, rapidly provisioned, configurable computing resources (including networks, servers, storage, applications, and services) from numerous service providers. Without the right processes, management, and governance, IT organizations can quickly lose control in this new world of IT. Unauthorized use of external cloud services ("shadow IT") is a major security and operational risk, and financial management can quickly become complex. IBM is uniquely positioned to help organizations deliver IT-as-a-Service to their technology users across the hybrid IT landscape. The IBM Brokerage Services offering can play a vital and differentiating role as a cohesive part of an organization's operational IT strategy, providing capabilities that enable better decision-making when planning, self-service consumption, and enhanced transparency and management of deployed cloud services.

As a IBM Hybrid Cloud Services Pre-Sales Specialists you would work closely with the Sales leads to provide the technical, architectural and consulting input required to drive Brokerage signings in customers as well as ensuring that Brokerage revenue is delivered through ongoing deployment of Brokerage and adjacent offerings.

Role Description: As a IBM Hybrid Cloud Services Pre-Sales Specialist you will represent the Brokerage Services and agreed adjacent offerings as part of the Global Technology Services business unit of IBM. The majority of time will be spent working with clients or working with IBM account teams. A high degree of mobility is required with the flexibility to travel frequently according to business needs.


  • Act as Technical/pre-sales specialist for IBM Cloud Brokerage Services Solutions and related offerings to Enterprise IT clients and help make IBM the global leader in this space.
  • Technically understand and promote the position and value of Brokerage Services with respect to the broader Enterprise IT environment (ITSM, Orchestration, Managed Services, etc.).
  • Be recognized as the Technical/pre-sales specialist for Cloud Brokerage Services in your Market across IBM.
  • Actively collaborate and team with sales, pricers, other technical and solution leads, and delivery professionals across IBM as required to help achieve the Markets sales and delivery objectives.
  • Develop, grow and maintain successful technical relationships at all levels with all the clients and within the IBM accounts with whom you engage.
  • Gather technical lessons learned on an ongoing basis and champion this information to the Brokerage Development teams.
  • Demonstrate good technical competence in working with clients on their business cases to support large services engagements.

  • Master's Degree
