We have a 5 month contract opportunity for a Motherboard Designer in Irvine, CA.

Top Required Skills:

You would engage in Si validation including Cdyn and Vmin tests in the Irvine Lab (Also known as Power and Performance Validation)

- Designing and developing the digital and analog circuits

- Creating schematics and directing printed circuit board Iayout with Computer Aided Design CAD Engineer

Description:

In this position, you will be responsible for designing printed circuit boards with our client's silicon, along with external-vendor silicon, as part of a complete validation solution to our internal customers. These projects may be proof-of-concept design or a motherboard or memory board design.

Your responsibilities/Qualifications needed will include but not be limited to the following:

- You would engage in Si validation including Cdyn and Vmin tests in the Irvine Lab

- Designing and developing the digital and analog circuits

- Creating schematics and directing printed circuit board Iayout with Computer Aided Design CAD Engineer.

- Working closely with the silicon design team to design platforms for testing and to incorporate

our silicon into our platforms

- Interfacing with the design teams in other groups and divisions-

- Running Layout Constraint Tools on designs if needed

- Debugging, testing and evaluating motherboard and/or circuit problems

- Minimum Education: Bachelor or a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering

- Strong - Verbal and written communication skills for interfacing with design and/or evaluation and/or manufacturing engineers, customers

- Technical marketing engineers, material planners and program managers

- Ability to work independently

- Knowledge and experience in schematic capture, printed circuit board Iayout, and typical Iab tools Experience with Allegro* and Cadence* design tools is required

- Some experience in Perl would be an added advantage.
