Job Summary
Performs and implements activities that impact discrete components / processes of the specified functional area of the Technology operation. Work is received in short term assignments that require application of independent judgment. Operates within the context of defined procedures.

Job Responsibilities
  • Performs and implements daily operational activities that impact discrete components / processes of the Technology engineering work function, and may include responsibilities, such as:
    • Participating in improvement and monitoring of deployment operations on pre-release, upgrades and current versions of software.
    • Participating in evaluating compatibility of programs with existing communications hardware and software features.
    • Participating in development of protocols to support established standards.
    • Improving operation and monitoring of standard and advanced features.
    • Participating in development of processes and interface requirements.
    • Participating in data development and definition of acceptance criteria.
  • Gathers and updates necessary information and communicates to appropriate parties.
  • Identifies and determines likely reasons for problematic causes. Prepares accurate documentation and communication to effectively facilitate elimination of problems / roadblocks as they occur and create efficient fixes.
  • Coordinates cross-functionally to accomplish activities. Interacts with internal and external peers and/or managers to exchange semi-complex information related to assigned activities.
  • May assist in live site support and incident resolution that may include on-call rotation.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree and at least 1 year of experience in a technical engineering role, such as software development, release management, deployment engineering, site operations, technical operations or similar OR High School Diploma/ GED and at least 4 years of experience in a technical engineering role, such as software development, release management, deployment engineering, site operations, technical operations or similar.
  • Experience in Technology infrastructure, such as Network, Monitoring, Systems, Databases, etc.
  • Experience establishing and maintaining relationships with individuals at all levels of the organization, in the business community and with vendors.
  • Experience using time management skills such as prioritizing/organizing and tracking details and meeting deadlines of multiple projects with varying completion dates.
  • Willing to travel up to 10% of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state).

Preferred Qualifications
The Mobile Engineer is responsible for designing, testing, integrating, debugging, and configuring the Android or iOS mobile device solutions for a retail environment. They need to have hands-on experience with the design and configuration of mobile devices. Ideal candidates will be proficient with AirWatch, or other comparable enterprise mobility management technologies and have solid experience with implementation and architecture of MDM solutions.
The Engineer must be able to design large scale mobile platforms in a retail environment. Successful candidates will be detail oriented, organized, be able to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, and display a high aptitude and interest for problem solving.
The Engineer will also be responsible for solution integration, including responsibility for the creation and maintenance of architecture, configuration, and design documents per company standards.
Requirements

  • In-depth knowledge of the AirWatch Mobile Device Management (MDM) platform with the following key focus areas:
    • Experience with deploying to Android Rugged devices or iOS devices
    • Usage of Products as a means of deploying custom configurations, applications and other payloads as required
    • Working with Certificates and Certificate Templates
    • Comfortable with Mobile Email Management (MEM)
  • Ability to use a wide variety of programming languages with heavy emphasis on PHP, C++, JavaScript, HTML and CSS as a means of generating API calls to the AirWatch REST Framework
  • 2-4 years developing solutions on mobile platforms (Android or iOS) on enterprise level
  • 5+ years of experience designing and building enterprise solutions, preferably in a retail environment
  • Hands-on experience with enterprise mobility management technologies.
  • Experience with rollout management and project lifecycles
  • Excellent team player with strong communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Enthusiastic about collaborative problem solving
  • Eagerness to solve challenging problems
Additional Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience with smartphones, tablets, and laptops in a business environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or equivalent field
  • Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills
