Job Description:


Employees in this position are expected to provide business functional support for Field Mobile Applications and related technology tools. Employee will be required to interact with customers personally, via e-mail, or through the submission of issues via Remedy. Employee should be familiar with application operations and to some degree business processes used by the customer. Employee will also be expected to interact with IT staff to report and assist with resolution of issues and problems. Employees at this level manage their work with minimal supervision. Employees are expected to develop advanced skills and to have the ability to work independently with guidance limited to unusual or complex projects or issues. They are fully competent in the use of concepts and procedures. They identify problems, work independently or with others to develop solutions and take action to resolve issues and are able to effectively communicate using oral or written skills.


Duties & responsibilities Duties would include the following:


- Work with and support other analysts to resolve Field Mobile Application problem tickets in Remedy


- Provide subject matter expertise in the use and configuration of the Field Mobile Applications


- Review current Field Mobile Applications make recommendations for potential improvement opportunities


- Provide support for other related applications as needed as requested Basic Qualifications


- Ability to understand and quickly pick up on business processes


- Ability to work with limited direction / able to take limited direction and work independently


- Demonstrated ability to quickly learn and utilize new technology/applications on a routine basis.


- Ability to multitask and to work effectively in a changing environment with numerous distractions and interruptions.


- Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills.


- Demonstrated strong interpersonal, customer relations skills.


- Strong oral and written communication skills.


- Experience working in a team environment


- Previous experience working in a utility (Gas, Electric Transmission, Electric Distribution, Vegetation Management, or Supply Chain)


- Proficient in use of Microsoft Office applications (Work, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)


- Basic understanding of the Remedy applications or other ticket management software


- Prior experience in user functional support of technology applications is desired.


Qualifications: Bachelor degree in Computer Science or a related discipline. In lieu of a degree, 10 years of related business experience.


Work experience in addition to a degree: 5-10 years as an IT Application Analyst or equivalent.

  • Work hours = 8am to 5pm (typical) - overtime may be required some weeks to include early mornings (6am) and late evenings (7pm).
