We have an excellent opportunity for a Metrics Business Intelligence Manager for one of our premier clients.


Manage KS metrics data ecosystem

  • Oversee periodic refreshes of data that are executed by India-based resources, resolving technical issues that are raised.
  • Ensure that database backups are completed and stored on schedule and in line with defined standards.
  • Investigate known data issues and offer creative solutions to resolve them.
  • Execute ETL packages or other processes that are not yet fully supported by the India-based resources.

Migrate business intelligence infrastructure to new environment

  • Complete detailed scoping and migration plan for how the entire BI reporting infrastructure can be migrated to the new environment in such a way that reporting timelines are not impacted and there is seamless transition to the business.
  • Build and manage a project plan to deliver these requirements, regularly reporting to Metrics Program Lead on progress.
  • Complete early proof of concept that covers the full scope of all the integrated technology components, in order to minimize the risk of unexpected technical issues, such as security challenges as processes are moved into different domains. Escalate and offer suggested resolution to any issues identified.
  • Leveraging the India-based resources where feasible, oversee or implement all the technical changes needed to accomplish the migration, such as new databases, migrated ETL packages, SQL server user and service account setup, auto-scheduled batch jobs to create database backups, new Tableau data sources, and rewired Tableau workbooks to point to new Tableau data sources.
  • Update any and all documentation regarding maintenance process and standards, so that the India-based resources will be able to handle all the ongoing data refresh processes independently.
  • Train the Metrics and KPIs Operations team members on how to complete the data refreshes leveraging the new infrastructure.

Education: Bachelor's degree required; relevant fields of study may include: Analytics, Business, Management, and Information Systems.

Years of Experience: Candidate must have 5-7 years of relevant experience. Experience in a global professional services organization a plus.

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in all of the following technologies:

    • SQL Server: must be able to do light administration (e.g., table and account creation) and assess opportunities where indexes or other techniques would improve performance
    • SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) / SQL Server Data Tools (SSDT): Must have strong working knowledge and experience creating ETL packages targeting SQL server destination.
    • Tableau: Must have working experience with either Tableau Desktop or Tableau Public, preferably where workbooks have been published in a server-based environment and leveraging server-based Tableau data sources.

  • Strong analytical capabilities and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. SharePoint experience is highly desirable.
