The Team

Technology Operational Process & Data Management (TOPDM)

As a part of the Enterprise Information Technology (EIT) group, TOPDMs mission is to ensure IT Operations effectiveness by:

  • Supporting process and service maturity through consistent operational data governance, frameworks, practices, tools, methodologies, reports, metrics, measurements, analysis, and usage of all operational data required to run the business of technology.
  • Providing insights across WFs technology operations portfolio including 1.3M active assets, 4,600 applications, 400+ SORs, and 10k products.
  • Leveraging a shared data model, with Center of Excellences (CoEs) aligned to critical strategic programs/initiatives requiring significant expertise and agility to meet regulatory, leadership, and operational requirements.

The Position

The position will support initiatives supporting the business of IT, with a goal of turning EIT into a data driven powerhouse. The position will help drive initiatives using data from a large number of EIT systems, to help drive better business outcomes and decisions through data-driven business analytics.

The leader will help deliver operational level insights through

  • Modeling
  • Ad-Hoc analysis
  • Prescriptive, predictive, and prescriptive analytics
  • Key Risk Indicators and Key Performance Indicators
  • Data visualization techniques

The leader will be accountable to collaborate with business partners, especially Enterprise Information Security, to develop and mature analytics capabilities in alignment with EIT business objectives. Furthermore the leader will be instrumental is helping to build and drive consumption of the new IT4IT Authorized Provisioning Point (APP) as part of the WF Data Blueprint.

In addition to the required qualifications, the successful candidate is one that gets excited about being at the forefront of driving change within the organization, and maturing the value we extract from our WF data. He/she will demonstrate effectiveness in building high performing teams, focused on driving business results through team member and partner engagement; contributing to the broad EIT strategy with a One Wells Fargo lens.

This collaborative leader must be capable of initiating action in others, and managing change. The role demands a persuasive, effective communicator who can position this shared services team as an indispensable business partner. It requires a leader with strong relationship management, influencing, and execution skills.

The role requires a sense of urgency, passion for results, and personal accountability for achievement.

The ideal candidate will be excited about being a part of a newly formed Business Enablement team with the goal of maturing the following areas:

  • Relationship Management
  • Intake Management
  • Requirement Management
  • Fulfillment Management
  • Inventory Management

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: project management, implementation, or strategic planning
  • 5+ years of relationship management experience with business and technology partners
  • 3+ years of experience creating executive level dashboards, analytics, and reports using advanced visualization tools
  • 4+ years of experience leading stakeholder teams to design and develop strategies incorporating the use of data

Desired Qualifications

  • Virtual leadership experience with ability to effectively drive results, provide feedback/direction, and manage and build relationships with leaders and team members in a geographically dispersed team environment
  • Ability to analyze metrics and articulate data trends both visually and verbally
  • Ability to assess issues, make quick decisions, implement solutions, and influence change
  • Good analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to influence, partner, and negotiate with senior business leaders to gain commitment to accomplish business goals
  • Knowledge and understanding of data governance challenges and approaches: metadata, data quality, and data stewardship

Other Desired Qualifications
  • Experience delivering executive level business insights to help drive enterprise decisions
  • Ability to develop roadmaps and plans that encourage and drive actionable and measurable results
  • Experience with the WF Agile methodology, specifically agile scrum
  • Experience with process engineering, and the ability to use this to simplify operations
  • Experience understanding current processes, consulting with business partners, documenting new processes and helping the business to transition to an improved process
  • Prior experience using process mapping as a blueprint to drive change (Visio, iGrafx or other process mapping tools)

Job Expectations

  • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time
