Permanent position: Immediate opening for an Process Engineer with a metals mfg background, which could come from a number of different industries. The main goal being to improve product quality and production efficiency while supporting the metallurgical processes. This role is out of the Memphis, TN area. (south of Memphis in MS)

Responsibilities for the Metallurgical Engineer

  • Working with operators, identify process improvement opportunities and implement solution.
  • Prepare and execute test plans for production trial related to hot & cold working of stainless steel, nickel / iron based super alloys, and titanium.
  • Develop product routings; Work with customers to generate inspection & test plans; Create & revise standard work instructions to reflect Best Practices.
  • Assist in developing processing parameters for new products/ applications; Perform Gage R&R studies on measurement equipment
  • Perform temperature uniformity surveys & instrument calibrations for heat treatment equipment.

Requirements for the Metallurgical Engineer

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Material Science, or Industrial Technology
  • 0-3 Years Engineering Experience
  • Ability to work flexible hours as required, including weekends and holidays
