Contract position: Mechanical Engineer needed for immediate contract position in the Chelmsford, MA area. This person is needed to analyze mechanical components and subsystems using both common application programs and more advanced programs such as NASTRAN, Thermal Desktop and PATRAN or Femap. This person will also provide design guidance for optomechanical and other structures based on experience as well as analysis results. Must have a great attitude along with BSME and a MIN of 5 yrs experience developing mechanical requirements, designs, verification and validation of products. Responsibilities for the Mechanical Engineer

*Perform Mechanical Analysis using NASTRAN, Thermal Desktop and PATRAN or Femap
*Provide design guidance for opto-mechanical and other structures
*Generate, review and approve written reports supporting the design, analyses, and test of the product design including drawings and engineering specificationsRequirements for the Mechanical Engineer



*BSME in a related field, MS a plus. Typical 7 years work experience or equivalent experience
*Experience developing mechanical requirements, designs, verification and validation of products, and product integration
*NASTRAN, Thermal Desktop and PATRAN or Femap
*Working knowledge of commercial and military specifications and standards related to mechanical design and documentation required
*Good written and verbal communication skills and proven experience working on interdisciplinary project teams
*Knowledge of tools such as CAD (Pro-E/Creo) and FEA (thermal and structural background and experience) requiredBenefits
