Essential Functions:

  1. Serve as a primary point of contact for Marketing inquiries for publishable portfolio and market analytics;
  2. Complete and/or coordinate completion of marketing data requests with global marketing data team members providing accurate and comprehensive reports/solutions; Keep organized record of completed requests, document methodologies used;
  3. Work with Risk Management and Portfolio Management teams to develop and maintain global data standards and ensure high quality reporting;
  4. Facilitate adoption of the reporting standards by consistently applying them in daily work and educating end users on applicable usage/interpretation of different methodologies;
  5. Investigate, troubleshoot and facilitate resolution of data issues in standard monthly/quarterly reports;
  6. Function within a team setting; collaborate and communicate effectively with all team members, actively sharing your experiences, ideas, and best practices;
  7. Contribute ideas to development of "message" for product and "thought leadership" efforts led by various Marketing teams, Sales & Client Service, helping to retain existing business and attract new;
  8. Develop and lead user training modules on data analysis and reporting tools;
  9. Serve as a back-up administrator for processes to load and maintain data in internal equity data warehouse (Oracle);
  10. Work on ad-hoc projects as necessary.

Desired Qualifications and Skills:

  • Analytical background and quantitative reasoning ability, as demonstrated by 3-5 years of relevant experience;
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent; MBA and/or CFA is a plus;

  • Familiarity with electronic data services and analytics systems (e.g., FactSet, Bloomberg, etc) strongly preferred;
  • Experience with fixed income securities and alternative investments is a plus;
  • Strong planning, organizational, time management and follow-through skills; Ability to achieve objectives while working on projects with limited supervision;
  • High level of self-discipline, conscientiousness, sound judgment and detail orientation needed to meet responsibilities;
  • Proven ability to work successfully across departments (e.g. Marketing, Portfolio Management, IT, Operations) and effectively explain technical and business requirements to varying groups and experience levels;
  • Ability to express ideas/interpret data from a variety of sources clearly and logically, both in writing and verbally, and including the visual display of quantitative information;
  • Technological acuteness, as demonstrated by advanced Microsoft Office skills (VBA, PivotTables, complex functions) and quick progress in learning new applications/software; Willingness to enhance the skill set;
  • Working knowledge of SQL and database architecture or desire to learn the skillset.
