Job Description

Reporting to the Delivery Services Manager, this position will support the Marketing Line of Business database analyst and campaign processing partners utilizing the Hemisphere platform. Hemisphere is a large Teradata Database Marketing and analytics platform supporting primarily direct marketing campaigns, reporting and analysis across channels, products, populations and offers.

This role will work with a team to provide support for marketing initiatives and campaigns. The team focuses on making sure the lines of business users have the data they require for campaign development and execution, and for reporting and analytics.

Specific responsibilities include :

  • Developing new automated processes to implement new data algorithms, segmentations or sources;
  • Become the Subject Matter Expert, SME, for certain data sources and partners;
  • Partner with the production support team to implement enhancements and correct immediate issues;
  • Coordinate with a diverse functional team including users, system administrators, development teams and international support teams;
  • Adhere to data management/data governance regulations and policies;
  • Have the desire and abilities to investigate/analyze and solve data and processing issues to meet the internal product and marketing needs.

The Data & Analytics Product team within Enterprise Data & Analytics (EDA) is responsible for the major data and business intelligence platforms, business applications and analytic solutions.



Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of reporting experience, analytics experience, or a combination of both; or a BS/BA degree or higher in a quantitative field such as applied math, statistics, engineering, physics, accounting, finance, economics, econometrics, computer sciences, or business/social and behavioral sciences with a quantitative emphasis and 3+ years of reporting experience, analytics experience, or a combination of both
  • 3+ years of consultative business analysis experience
  • 5+ years of relational database experience
  • 5+ years of experience with databases such as Oracle, DB2, SQL server, or Teradata
  • 1+ year of UNIX experience
  • 1+ year of experience leading the requirement design process with both technical and business partners
  • 3 + years of experience gathering, analyzing and interpreting large datasets



Desired Qualifications

  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of research and analysis
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • 3+ years of Teradata experience
  • 1+ year of SAS programming experience



Other Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with EDA Analytical Databases (BMG, C2T, Hemisphere, EIW, etc.)
  • Experience working and supporting analysts, statisticians and analytical database users
  • Experience assessing the adequacy of policies, procedures, processes, and compliance and operational controls
  • Experience with Unix kshell scripting
  • Experience performing analysis leveraging SQL or SAS to extract data from data warehousing platforms
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of research and analysis
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
