Manufacturing Engineer

Contract position: An American corporation that manufactures agricultural, construction, and forestry machinery, diesel engines, drivetrains (axles, transmissions, gearboxes) used in heavy equipment, and lawn care equipment is looking for a Paint Manufacturing Engineer in the Moline, IL area. This is a 1-year CONTRACT position. No per diem available.

Responsibilities for the Manufacturing Engineer

  • Identify and implement process improvements as part of Continuous Improvement (CI) and Natural Work Group (NWG) teams related to safety, quality, efficiency, and delivery.
  • Develop work standards and methods and document in WPlanner. Work closely with operations to maintain safety, quality and throughput of the paint system and paint load/unload work centers.
  • Work with members of team to develop corrective actions. Complete and implement cProjects tasks and related Engineering Changes for PDP and CI changes.

Requirements for the Manufacturing Engineer

  • Bachelor's degree in an Engineering or Technology field. 2 years of relevant experience preferred.
  • Technical knowledge to conduct destructive and non-destructive testing and evaluation of materials. Experience developing work methods and related standards. Experience with applicable SAP transactions.
