Permanent position: Maintenance Planner, Durant, OK The electrical planner will provide leadership to the organization by applying maintenance activities and methods to the planning and delivery of preventative and predictive maintenance to improve and maintain equipment and facilities. The electrical planner will optimize workforce productivity and effectiveness by anticipating and removing obstacles and delays through coordination of resources and equipment access, with a safety-first mindset. This position is salaried, primarily scheduled Monday through Friday, 7a.m. until 4:00 p.m., but some shifts may require longer hours and working on weekends depending on outage and other scheduled maintenance. Company offers a lump sum relocation benefit of $25k for homeowners and $15k for renters.

Responsibilities for the Maintenance Planner

  • Shows a safety first mindset; recommends improvements to make the workplace safer for self and others.
  • Plans, schedules, and coordinates corrective and preventive maintenance activities for maintenance.
  • Acquires information about the job to be performed.
  • Works with front-line Supervisors to estimate length of job and resources required.
  • Orders all parts required for planned jobs (both storeroom and outside vendors).
  • Implementing Kitting Process and makes sure kits are complete with all parts needed, special tools required as well as ensuring necessary equipment is onside (i.i. man lifts, mobile cranes etc.).
  • Down Days and outage planning.
  • Conducts pre-down day and outage meetings to help determine priorities and man power availability.
  • Develops down day work and outage plans working closely with the first-line maintenance supervisors.

Requirements for the Maintenance Planner

  • 5-8 years of Electrical Maintenance experience in an industrial environment (preferably heavy industry)
  • Prior steel plant experience preferred but not required
  • Strong electrical aptitude
  • Well organized and capable of organizing team members
  • Highly self-motivated
  • Goal and objective-oriented
  • Goal and objective-oriented
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, and Power Point
  • Excellent interpersonal/communication skills
