The ideal candidate will be a self-directed learner with a desire to understand the entire IT stack including server hardware, virtualization, networking, firewalls, load balancing, operating systems, common application stacks, and multiple programming and scripting languages. In this role, you’ll develop and support critical infrastructure (we take an “infrastructure as code” approach) and collaborate to define and complete projects.

Compensation: $67,000+ (Depends on qualifications)

Core Job Responsibilities:
●    Design, configure, install, upgrade, and maintain Linux systems.
●    Coordinate within cross-functional teams to architect, support, and maintain Chef-managed environments.
●    Develop process and procedures for building and maintaining secure, stable, and reliable infrastructure.
●    Provide advanced operational support. Serve as escalation resource and provide guidance to service desk staff and junior staff for resolving routine system issues.
●    Maintain systems that adhere to audit compliance (HIPAA, FERPA, PCI as required).
●    Manage, configure, and design systems for monitoring system performance and availability. 
●    Participate in on-call rotation, which involves carrying a communication device and includes the expectation to respond during non-business hours to resolve production problems and perform scheduled off-hour activities.
●    Keep current on industry standards, emerging technologies and services.


Required Qualifications:
●    Bachelor's degree and 2 years relevant experience OR a comparable combination of education, training, and experience.
●    Experience and proficiency in supporting Linux and a strong desire to keep learning.
●    Demonstrated commitment to promoting diversity in the workplace.

●    Ability to work independently to define and complete projects.
